You will need to install Update 3. Yes, that link is correct. Make sure you download the x64 version if you're using 64bit windows, or the x86 version if you're using 32bit windows.

Try reinstalling C++ again, and click the repair thats what i did.

Minimum is Update 1, you can install Update 3, or any future update to 2012, and it'll be just fine

Is there a link to changelogs, my pc is slightly screwy and wont display it when updating. Cant find it on the forum

Been having the same problem (Win7x64).
I've installed both Visual C++ distros, restarted and am unable to get PR to launch.

Just install update 3, it contains update 1 and 2 as well. If for some reason it still doesn't work, re-run update 3 and choose 'repair'.

Just so you know, I had to UNINSTALL the Update 3 and Install it again to make it work (after a windows 8 to windows 8.1 "upgrade").

Using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, it suddenly stopped working for me too (perhaps relating to updating Cat 13.4 to 13.6 beta 2). I installed the x64 update 3 and it still didn't work. Then I tried repairing it and rebooting and it still didn't work. Then I installed the x86 update 3, no reboot, still no joy. Then I ran the x64 repair again, no reboot and it worked after that.
So it seems at the very least I needed to install the x64, then the x86, then repair the x64. Whether the reboot was required or not, I'll never know.

Hey. I have been away a while and I am getting this error message. I followed the suggestions and installed the update 3 that is supposed to contain the other updates.
But when I try to start the launcher after installing the update and restarting the computer it is saying the exact same thing still. It needs update 1 but I just installed that with update 3??
