.net framework needed? (& other questions)

Hi,
I have a very peculiar problem. Dot net framework will not install, no matter what I do.
I ask that you please do not try to help me with this problem, because believe
me when I say I've tried everything. Please, for the sake of my sanity, do not
give me a solution for this problem. I will do a wipe of windows soon, just help me
with this.
The point is I have a couple of questions regarding Project Reality 1.0 that could use
some answering. Here goes:
  1. Does 1.0 require dot net framework? If so, is there a way of navigating past the parts that do? (launcher?)
  2. Is it possible to port the weapons, at the very least, out of the mod and into the base game? I realize some aspects may not work (switching the iron sights, at the very least) but the weapons may keep me sated until I get my computer fixed.
Thank you, I appreciate your help, and I apologize if this was asked before, but I have looked.

1. Yes, it is required .NET framework 4 , though we recommend .NET framework 4.5 now.
1b. No, you can not bypass the required .NET parts.

2. IF you are asking now, and are not a programmer , it will take you longer to learn than to get your PC fixed. Go to the PR:BF2 Community Modding - Project Reality Forums section and find the answer.
