With the seeming absolute ease of modding the basic files pertaining to damage, accuracy, respawn times, and those simple things - could you guys possibly put out a small release with those changes? Everyone talks about how "their server" will have these updates, as it is only a server-side requirement.
From what I understand, these things are all located in the same file, and it is less than an hour's worth of work to achieve.
There is nothing like this as of yet for release, and it'd make the transition a lot easier for all of your fans.

At this point, we're focusing on providing a substantial initial release, as opposed to a small tweak/mini-mod. Given the workflow, proceeding in this manner makes more sense and will benefit the fans far greater in the long run.
Hang in there

haha its hard enough waiting for the game itself, never mind the mod that will make it 100x better!

haha. anyway just a question for those lucky ******** who already got bf2, is the mod system organised the same way as in BF:V and 1942? like when you start the game you go to a menu and choose the mod you want to play? because i thought that worked really well. you could have a modded version and an unmodded version. and i might want to play the regular bf2 instead of pr sometimes.

Another question (may have been answered somewhere):
When is rough estimate of 1st release?
When do you start picking the beta testers (very anxious)?

Sorry, I didn't see something that'd take an hour as conflicting with the release schedule...
It's fine, though - someone took that hour already and released a mod today, as per the news on Planet Battlefield.

The mod menu is known as Custom Game, and it is found via clicking Community, then the Custom Game tab.
Essentially, Wolf, you can still play regular BF2 and any other mod if that mod has a custom GUI. Just have a shortcut for vanilla BF2 and a shortcut for the mod. Problem solved

We're targeting an internal release in August, and we'll announce the selection of the beta testers in the coming months.
I'm anxious, myself.
