I will try to explain to the best I can... since it did not happen to me...
There was a Known Cache (blue) and an Unknown one (purple)
Some guy took the Gary and blew it up next to the unknown cache, to destroy a Stryker...
After that, we got the message: "Player was shot as a traitor!", and we lost that cache which was still invisible... he got the PR punishment for that...
It happens that the cache mark was still showing up on the name, and a new Unknown was also given us:
Thank you guys

yes, just happened to me 5 minutes ago...
I am uploading a video and some screenshots
will add here later...

video:
Before this bug happened, one cache was TKed (IED or something)... but we were fine (2 caches only on map...)
Then I recorded this incident... It wasn't destroyed by BLUFOR nor was it TKed...
Dunno what happened...

After watching that video it leads me to think that the enemy team knew by either guessing or ghosting where the Unknown at the mansion was and blew it up with C4 resulting in the three caches bug.
So to sum it up: If either team blows up an unknown there will be three caches on the map.
How to fix: Make the Unknowns Invincible to all damage until it's known.

We had this Bug on Black Gold ins. There was an unknown in a compound (G6), we checked it out because enemy Infantry was there. The cache was unknown, but it was visible and the Chinese destroyed it with C4.
After that, a new unknown marker (H12) appeared, but the old one still stayed at the position where the cache got destroyed. So there were 2 unknows and one known on the map.
