Man, that shit gets annoying. U can't hear ur SL giving directions, the pilot can't hear directions. I just wouldn't do it, period.

Its annoying other players most of the time and if you want hear music, hear it on your PC. It can be funny sometimes but just too often the music is bad or players spamming and you cant talk to your squad or hear enemies.

Exactly the same way as before. Would prefer you not to do it tho, that shit is stupid as hell. I have music playing on background in high quality, don't need your broken **** in my ears disrupting it.

Sometimes I like to "accidently" teamkill people who play music on mumble.

Common sense rules on playing music:

• 1. Not when shit is serious in the game.
• 2. Don't play it extremely loud, have it soft enough so it doesn't cancel out everyone's voices on mumble.
• 3. Have it decently set up, not a speaker to your mic, it sounds like shit.
• 4. Stop right when someone says to turn it off. Anyone. Even if 98 players want the music, if one guy says to stop, you stop.
• 5. Play good music, not your shitty lilwayne or thrift shop noise.

All sums up to, don't make it annoying and don't do it if it distracts people. Sometimes it can be fun, sometimes I also accidentally TK people who over do it.

Something to keep in mind: you're using up bandwidth, which people pay for. Now, some servers don't really mind as long as it's not excessive, but others could frown upon this.

Reminder that I still don't have answer for my original question ,which is "how do you play music on mumble now that 1.0 is out?".

Only song allowed should be charge of the valykries by Vietnam pilots, rest is just annoying, hope admins can kick for this.

Virtual Audio Cable that shizz. You can look up tutorials pretty much anywhere, it's just a matter of switching your audio inputs in PR mumble. If I was streaming to Ventrilo or a different client that allowed multiple clients open at the same time, I'd just have two clients open, one client with a profile with audio input set to Virtual Audio Cable (which is playing music output from Winamp), and then one client with the audio input set as my actual microphone. I do this all the time when I "DJ" on my own Ventrilo. The downside when using PR mumble is that you can only have one client open at a time so you can only either play music or speak.

Bottom line, though, don't be an asshat. If someone asks you to stop, stop, or your deserve whatever the admins decide to do.

I absolutely despise people who do this. It's by far the most annoying thing about mumble

OP, as you can see, plenty of people in this community find it not particularly great if people play music (apart from the occasional vietnam-HUEY-transport-song) so I would advise you not to do over-do it! This community is rather small and certain behavior will get you alienated pretty quickly.

If the players around you aren't reason enough, than what AD said should help you to decide whether or not to do it!

Oh man, that is quiet annoying during the map change, some ppl just play music and spam on all channel.

and you guys sound like school children and college guys who seem to have mistaken Project Reality for Battlefield:Vietnam.

I would like to thank Tarran for the suggestion of accidentally teamkilling people spamming radio shows or music.

I'm not the type that avenges teamkills or even intentional wounding but I hate people spamming ****.

If you want to hear music play with music on your speakers and in your headphones. If you can't hear your team mates play a game that doesn't require team work.

If you want to be a DJ take your antics elsewhere.
