Hey Guys,

I have played PR for quite a while now but still there are many things to learn on my checklist.

The thing is I feel quite confident playing in an Inf Squad and following orders and support the team, but when it comes down to Special Kits like HT/LT it gets a bit worring. I haven't played them once because if you waste them everyone rages. If you ask ppl to help you or give you a few tips how to use it they rage because you're a Noob. Yes I've read the Manual but still I don't feel like I would really succed with those Kits.

I know how to fly choppers (you can learn it all by your self) but CAS/APC/Tanks... It's just the same thing. No one wants to help but everyone wants you to be good at it.

I can understand that most ppl don't want to teach stuff instead of playing. So I don't want to blame them. I don't have friends playing PR because it's to slow paced for them so there is no chance to train with them.

How did you learn those things without wasting assets in a full server? I don't want to fuck up in a server so I didn't even try those Kits and Roles out.

You can try HAT and LAT on a local server. It is important that you can estimate the range to target and know how deal with differences in elevation.

Try Coop and/or local server.

I'm pretty sure this would be the perfect time to just join a server and not give a fuck, right? People are already going mental about new players not knowing what they're doing. Adding another one to the list won't do too much damage.

I'm always happy to see someone new in my tank squad as long as they tell me they are new/ play tank for the first time.
I'm pretty sure many players think similar about it, as long as you mention that you're not very experienced most of the people don't have any problem with it.
Even if you shoot a thousand shells against bots there will be the point were you want to play your first round as a proper tank operator/gunner. There are some basic strategies and knownledge which matter on multiplayer and which COOP can't deliver.

Just take the kit ingame an tell your SL it's your first time. He'll tell you the basics. If he blames you for missing/doing something wrong, then he is just a bad SL. Don't worry about it m8. Same with assets, as long as you tell your SL.

Flying should be trained locally though mostly. When I started playing PR, each time before playing I flew the huey for 15min on muttrah on a local server After a month I gave it a shot on a public server. I'm not the best pilot but I can manage thanks to those training hours.

Run yourself a local server practice with the different kits, set yourself up some targets at different ranges for the grenadier/AT kits. Kashan is good for this as there are many assets in the main bases of either faction with which to use.

When I squad lead I'm fine with people new to certain kits to have a go, you have to learn at some point and as long as your willing to try I have no problem with that. It is afterall just a game.
What I can't stand is people unwilling to try things through fear of getting it wrong, If I need someone to take a HAT kit and everyone shies away then I have a problem

Practice a bit in local to get the hang of how the asset handles, then pick it in a public server, after stating you're new and would like to try it, and they will probably help you.

If you fuck up, and you won't unless you don't pay attention, just apologize. Unless you're flying a jet or chopper, its not that serious.

It would be rly nice if there were "shooting range map" to practice LAT/HAT/GREN skills.
Also TEST AIRFIELD for PR 1.0 would be cool.

I should add that I have no idea how to try them in a local server. The problem is I need X Members in my squad before I can order them. Is there a way around :

Read this thread about spawning assets and kits in local/coop. Its makes training stuff easier.

He said he has practiced in a local server already.
The only thing to do now is put what you learned into practice and put your flame proof suit on.

Trust me stating that your new and would like to try flying a trans chopper wont work you just got to do it.

Yeah as Trooper sayd just go and do it.
Takes a lot of balls especially when your flying trans on lashkar valley and your the only chopper and
way of quick transport.
I still get fucking anxious then.
But if you fail just blame it on lag or ragequit ^^

You can only learn how to fly a cas right by simply doing it on a online server (coop-servers only help to train flight mechanics) you ll get flamed by your team and you ll get laughted by the guy who shot you from the enemy team but it ll get better when you earn more expirience. And if you are the best pilot there ll alwqys be the other guy who flame you when you get shot down, this ll never stop and this is part of beeing a cas pilot. (but of course you should not crash it into the ground, but you have said you are already a good pilot)
