There isn't the "ouch" sound when I'm hit or for example when I jump from a height of 2-3 meters
My soundcard is Realtek High Definition Audio
O.S. Windows XP 32 bit Service Pack 3

I think the problem is that some hit sounds are "blank". The mp3 file exists, but there is only silence. Check this: ....BF2\mods\pr\content\common_client.zip\sound\die\hit\fr\. Those are apparently french hit sounds. Out of 12 files only one file is voiced. Can anyone tell me why?

Done on purpose, because of annoying... Experimented alot with those sounds, but later on they overlapped the critical damage sounds wich is why I couldnt stand it. So, when youre critically damaged, youll hear grunting sounds.
First when you see the bloody screen, you know that youre hit and need medical care. Thats enough.

Those play with the soldier hit animation only. And only for 3p.

there is a problem with this; when inside choppers for example if you've been hit you have no idea if its you or the aircraft that is bleeding...
