Mumble doesn't connect and remains disconnected

Mumble for me stays disconnected and what ever I do it just doesnt connect.
Here's the log from mumble it self.

I have looked all over for a fix to this problem and couldnt find one, so sorry for tacking time from you.

To help troubleshoot this , open PRlauncher, click Support-Click Copy to Clipboard, and paste to this thread. It'll give us your system specs so we know what we got to work with here.

Let's try changing compatibility of the PRMumble.exe file
Go to G:\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\bin\PRMumble and
1. right click the PRMumble.exe file, click properties, Compatibility tab, select Windows XP Sp3, do not select administrator, click apply. test PR.
2. right click the PRMumble.exe file, click properties, Compatibility tab, select Windows 7, do not select administrator, click apply. test PR.
3. right click the PRMumble.exe file, click properties, Compatibility tab, select Windows 7, select run as administrator, click apply. test PR.

It's still disconnected ingame and later on disconnects in mumble (Still no different than it used to be).

are you using wireless ?
it could be a router problem
maybe try disabling quality of service in network settings (it should be advanced)
it could also be a firewall problem does your router have a firewall?
try to forward ports through I believe they are UDP and TCP
hope this helps

I'm using a wired set up.
I'm going to disable QoS and try in game.
I will try forwarding ports when I'm able to and will report here later on if it does or doesn't work.

It still doesn't work even after disabling QoS and forwarding ports. I will try to reinstall the entire thing to see if that fixes it.

I fixed this guy's issue, I'm willing to try for you as well, assuming you trust me enough to take over your computer. Send me a PM if you want teamviewer help.
Troubleshooting over forums is the most frustrating thing ever for me, because I feel like if I could just get access to the computer I'd see what the user is missing. Happened with Towll.
*Also, I don't guarantee that I'll be able to fix it, but will give it a shot. Naturally I claim no responsibility/liability for adverse effects that may or may not result due to my interaction with the computer.

I'm willing to take you up on that offer, but I will first try to install the mod without Desura.
If it doesn't work, I'll just PM you and we'll do it sometime maybe today or tomorrow.

->Add a Tick to the Force TCP box
CLICK APPLY
Shutdown PRMumble.
Test PR.
Next try this:
In your router, turn off QoS. Make sure the change in QoS settings "stick" after you click Apply.
Open G:\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\bin\PRMumble\PRMumble.exe manually
Configure->Settings.>Network
->Remove the Tick from the QoS tickbox
CLICK APPLY
Shutdown PRMumble.
Test PR.

Rico, are you in the UAE?
You might be screwed, the UAE gov blocks Mumble/Murmur and most VoIP protocols at the national infrastructure level.

I'm in Dubai yeah. Mumble worked on a previous version though?

The PR Murmur servers have to use nonstandard ports, the default murmur ports are blocked.
I just guessed it (UAE censors) was the cause and googled it, quick confirmation is out there.

Alright, so the problem was from the ISP, they have the ports for mumble blocked for some reason.
Here's how you can bypass it:
Open the BF2

R launcher> Open the options> PR Mumble> launch> Configure> Settings> Network
at the proxy options in the same page, change the proxy type to HTTP(S) proxy and use this host name and port:
195.229.241.174 8080
You don't need to set a username or password. But if you have any other proxy server you want to use, I guess that will work too but this is the one that I'm currently using and has been working so far.
