Does anyone have a fix for error 1103 as when ever I try and open the game it says;

"There was an error linking to the game process. Please try again".

If anyone could find a fix for this it would be very useful.

Description:
Error Message "1103: There was an error linking to the game process. Please try again." appears.
Game does not start.

Steps to Reproduce:
I have installed (1.0), updated (1.0.35.0) and played PR on the 20th of August (Yesterday) "without problem".
Today I have started the Game for a second time. It was updated to 1.0.36.0.

After clicking Play from the Launcher App (started with Admin privileges) the status is displayed until "Game launches".
Then the screen flickers (black) a few times.
After that the Error Message "1103: There was an error linking to the game process. Please try again." appears.

I have repeated those steps multiple times with or without administrator privileges, and after restarting the PC.
Also uninstalled PR Mubmle 1.0 from the pre 1.0 PR era.

All that is left is uninstalling PR 1.x and re-installing again, but without knowing what caused this, it might
just happen again at any time.

Tested On:
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 bit

Video Settings (if needed):
Nvidia GTX770
All Detail Settings High
AA x8
1920x1080@120Hz


Audio Settings (if needed):
Settings always reset to Software / Low after leaving the Launcher.

some other threads sugested running as admin, and removing the new beep mumble sound from audio options as fixes. none worked for me.

I am always running the Launcher as Admin.

If and I say "If" the audio cues are responsible for Error 1103 I have no means of checking that, because all changes I make to the Audio-Tab are "negated" as soon as I "Apply" and leave the Tab by either choosing another tab or closing the options dialog.

The Default Config "Software / Low / All cues Checked" will be active whenever I revisit the Audio Tab after that, so I think it is impossible for me at the moment to change the audio cue settings through the options dialog.

By creating an empty Text file by the name of Controls.con in the above directory the Game starts again without the 1103 Error in my case.

On second thought - NO - the game crashes instantly after the opening sequence currently.
Maybe when reading the Empty Controls.con??

I tried creating a new Profile. The new Profile has more *.con Files to begin with:
Audio,Controls,General,Launcher,MapList,Profile,ServerSettings,Video.con
while the old one only has
Profile.con and Video.con

The behaviour when starting PR with the new Profile is identical as starting it with the
old Profile after adding an empty Controls.con file.

There is a Windows Error sound and no further dialog indicating any error.
I think for a moment I saw "ressources unloading" as it crashed.

As stated above this happens after the "Project Reality" lettering (White on Black) dissapears. (after the opening)

I have been waiting for some kind of reply for more than a month now, because I wanted to keep the error reproducable in case of questions, but as it seems to drag on I will now re-install the game and hope for the best.
