Since the introduction of the MT-LB I have felt that its armour is way too strong against AT weapons. I have never had any problems countering the BTR-60, however this thing I have hit countless times but it just speeded off smoking.
Finally, in 1.0, I wanted some serious proof.

Steps to Reproduce:

I have tested the MT-LB's front, side and rear armour against the AT-4, the LAW and the SMAW. Here's how many hits it took to destroy it.

MT-LB front armor:

2 AT-4s
3 LAWs
1 SMAW HEAT round
2 SMAW HEDP rounds

MT-LB side armor:

2 AT-4s
2 LAWs
1 SMAW HEAT round
2 SMAW HEDP rounds

MT_LB rear armor:

2 AT-4s
2 LAWs
2 SMAW HEAT rounds
2 SMAW HEDP rounds

Scorpion front armor (for comparison):

2 AT-4s
2 LAWs
1 SMAW HEAT round
1 SMAW HEDP round

I completely agree Spawn, and have reported it to the bugtracker. Thanks for reporting it.

Should not one single LAT take it down IRL? That thing looks so weak.

IRL MTLB would be destroyed by one AT4 front side and rare, mtlb only have 14mm of armor MAX.

I also think MTLB have been buffed armor wice since you could destroy it with 5.56 and 7.62 ammo in 0.98. and that is not possible IRL without special ammo types.

strange, as side and rear are the same way armoured - are you sure you tested properly?


but yeah, rest seemed legit - will be fixed for next version.
