I'm getting a crash in PRLauncher when I click to open a ticker news item:

Does it require IE or something to work?

Apparently PRLauncher does this if the system has no association for opening the hyperlinks (as in install Win7, then remove IE). Just needs a little code to handle the situation better.

AFAIK it only needs Visual C++ 2010/2012 and dotNetFx 4. You also need DX9C June 2010 update.

As mentioned, it also needs a system handler for hyperlinks if it's not to crash out with the above error.
