I lost my instruction readme on how to replace sounds in PR.

Can someone list the steps to change weapons such as m4 or m16, ak, g3.

Ok i got the files.

But I still need instructions on how to replace them. any help?

Same here i replaced the sounds on most hand held weapons. But when i was at one end of the map i could hear people shooting about 200m away but it sounded like they were stood right next to me?!? please help i am a uber novice to modding.

To replace sounds, backup your objects_client.zip, then open it up and replace the sounds in the weapon/vehicle's directory inside. It's not recommended though.

The sounds need to be exactly the right format. I can't remember what exactly it is - I'm sure one of the sound guys can help out...

Yeah don't do it, PB will kick you for addons.

1p sounds have to be stereo and 3p sounds mono .wav files.

I got m4 and the ak101 replaced to v.32 sound mod

I haven't been kicked yet.

M4 sound still makes me drool everytime i hear it.

I just haven't chose the sound I want to change the l85 to yet.

PM if you got a good l85 sound.

All i do is in the instructions here http://realitymod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12254
But for weapons i use the same sound for 1p and 3p so should i make one of them sterio and one mono?

Also i wont get pb kicked all i am changing is my sounds on the mod for me everyone elce will hear the sounds like normal.
Eg: i love the old .50 cal sound the americans had but you have changed it so all i have done is put the old .50 cal sound on the gpmg.

If you got kicked for changing sounds PR wouldnt exist. I have done it many times and i am fine PB wise i just have the problem above.
