1) So could you describe yourself so that our readers can know who you are?
Image
My name is dutch, I am 40 years old, I own an Art gallery in RL and online I am the owner off the gaming community Forgotten Honor. I love to play RTS and First Person shooters, started with FH1 back in the day, had my share of DOD:S, RO2 and lost my heart completely to PR.

2) Since when did you come on Project Reality and in the FlH... And what do you like about this game include the new 1.0...

F|H I founded back in 2004. and PR I play since the beginning, but since two years I play it whenever I have free time. I am an addict

3) Can we talk about the big project , Can you explain how long the project Eastern Turmoil exists and how this idea came to you, what your position in the team .

Eastern Turmoil is a starting Tournament, it is the first time we organize this for the mod Project Reality. My position is as a member, I fight on the ISAF side as a squad Leader. The idea was formed by Mikeros back in the days and picked up by Liam and Lister, the last is currently running it.

4)Can you explain also the difference between Eastern Turmoil and CATA NATO.And do you think veteran of both clans will go to you?

The difference is the approach, Eastern Turmoil is more laid back and the focus is on a fun evening having team play, there is a structure, organization, medals, ranks and all the godies you can find in online tournaments, but we want the player that joins to have a fun time, we do have trainings and hierarchy. Cata Nato is more for the hardcore PR players, when I joined back in the day I had to march in a training, I disconnected immediately because that is going to far to my liking. But having said that, many loved that and it is more focused on reality, to each his own, I do not believe every clan would love to play in both, some do not want to participate in Eastern Turmoil and some not in Cata. It is what you are looking for, I heard that Cata might be starting again, so for the Milsim fans and hardcore PR player that will be great news, the player base for PR is very big, so I see no problem for both tournaments to exist.

6) Have you a help from the DEV ? Are you going to have an official forum on project reality?

We where promised help yes, but it never was followed up, when we started I always said we wanted support as in advertisement on the homepage, we sent out 10+ emails but no response, I think that is sad because since the opening of Eastern Turmoil we gained over 40% completely new players to PR. When we organized for other games like FH2, RO2 we always had this support, the Devs understood that what we are doing is good for the mod. PR in that is completely different and this was also the reason I never wanted to organize this for this mod, we need this support so the players know we exist, and I do not see the harm for the Devs to ignore us and not support us as promised.

7) Please can you explain , in big line the history of this turnement .

I guess you mean the history of F|H. We started back in 2004, we walked out of an existing tournament where allot of problems where, we decided to create a tournament for the players, and run by the players, what we do is, we host campaigns for many games from ARMA to FH2, FH1, RO2, Mount and Blade etc etc also we host clans and give a home to clans with TS space, TS rights, Forums space and rights, basically you want to organize a ladder, clan, tournament or event, we can host that for you, we have over 10.000 registered members. We where also the host of the $12.000,- Clan Tournament for Red Orchestra 2. We exist next year for 10 years and we are very successful, it does not mean every game works, but we have grown so big that trying never hurts. Also we host language regiments for our campaigns, where French speaking, Russian, Polish, German and Brazilian players can play together without having to worry about the English language, as long the officers from that unit can speak English it is a success. In our current FH2 campaign "Wacht am Rein" that has his first battle this week, we have a Russian, French, Polish and German speaking unit. We aim to exist another 10 years and that we grow bigger and bigger.

 Thank you for this interview , have yuou something to say to your readers today?

Thank you for the honor of interviewing me, I have to say to the readers, if you want team play and organized gaming night, have a look at our community www.forgottenhonor.com also we still have place for a French speaking unit in our Eastern Turmoil campaign. For the rest, play hard, play fair and enjoy online gaming but remember it is the fun where you play for.

I don't understand.

If it's FH purpose to do a tournament then you go through like any other event organized by a PR community. Who wants a special advertisement for such if it is being announced in the right place?

Well I normally never say it outloud because coming up with an idea is simple, it is the people that created and did all the work that deserve all the credit. :)

I don't understand.

It is very simple, pub players and the players you would like to add to your event hardly read these "assigned" forums, and I think when a community, like the one you are a member of (PRTA) sticks their neck out to create fun and make a mod better by hosting events and other cool stuff, the add should not be put away in a event forum, it has been proved it does not do the job, only regulars read these forums. PRTA, before F|H organized a PR Tournament, it should still have been there today, but the problem was that mostly clan members and known members sign up, with that comes the e-drama and the same old stuff. It is a shame imo, allot of work has been put in to create that and it is for the fun of others. THe same goes for F|H.

Also by having an add on the main page, other people that do not have the mod, read it, because each news item is picked up by news pages all over the world, and these readers might be interested to download the mod and sign up. To give you an idea with what I mean, F|H campaign "Wacht am Rein", gained over a 150 players, after, the add was posted on the FH2 Main page. That is how important it is, same goes for ARMA etc etc.

Communities that create these events deserve this kind of support, they serve PR and do only good, and help getting new players to download and play the mod. All that is needed is a main page add.

I believe dutch brings up the fact that it is not just a simple event, but a popular one throughout PR that is open to anyone, well-organised, and it's not just a one-day thing. I find what he says quite legitimate, to be very objective.

I didn't know you were the founder of the whole FH community, hats off for making it in constant evolution for all these years :)

First of all CATA is not a tournament its a faction from the old official PR Tournament.

Secondly it was not e-drama that broke TART tournament, it was failing from within. There was no training for newbies, everything was done laid back, like what you're saying lets have some fun - pubbies. Came out not to be so fun at all for those pubbies cause the old CATA came back together, and busted their arses so hard that I think its still hurting them. We were not training either, but we know eachother, and have played together before.

Lastly you dont want CATA to get back together again and play on that tournament, cause it'll end up like before it did.

Just rally up as much pubbies/anonymous as you can and get them to organize and get some fun. Let serious games stay where they belong.

Good luck with the tournament, and congratz on nice interview.

it might be a problem of having none or all policy, if you give one help you kinda open yourself to having to help all, but if they promised to help out, then i don't see the harm in having a banner or newspost or both on the mod mainpage, forum or moddb about high quality tournaments. More people = more fun = better and lasting experience

In esports we try to get ingame newsposts and posts on the devs forums and sites about our tournaments aswel as it is free good content and is a win win for all parties.
