so what is your favorite way to shoot down a heli and you consider it the most effective and easiest way to do it?
1.shooting it with various fire arms (assault rifle, machine gun, automatic rifle (LMG)....etc)
2.anti-tank deployment (TOW, HJ-8, MILAN.....etc)/recoilless rifle deployment (SPG)
3.anti-tank weapons (anti-tank class) like (eyrx, MBT law)
4.light anti-tank weapons (rifleman anti-tank class) like (RPG-7, LAW, AT-4)
5.HMG deployment
6.mounted HMG (on technicals, tanks, APCs......etc)
7.anti-air cannons like (ZPUs)
8.anti-air deployments
9.anti-air vehicles
10.MANPADS
11.tank guns
12.ATGMs fired via tank's gun
13.tank's/APC's/IFV's/Recon-vehicle's co-axial machine gun
14.APC's/IFV's/Recon-vehicle's cannon/main armament
15.ATGMs carried by APC's/IFV's/Recon-vehicles
16.mounted ATGMs/SPGs (on technicals, Humvees.....etc)
17.any other ground based way to shoot them down?

Shoot the chopper with an AP shell from a tank. No amount of flares can defend you from a well placed AP shell.

Nothing comes close to the feeling of bringing down a chopper with a KPV, i only wish we had them mounted on the techies.

Techie 50 cal. is my favorite

but only against Kiowas and Black Hawks

when fighting with an Apache, I can only think of man portable surface-to-air missiles. Though I have been succesful in taking one down with an RPG once. Back in old Karbala.

BTR60 with KPVT. On Muttrah that was my main weapon against them. Some of my friends preferred HAT ( Eryx ) or LAT if its really low. Lethal for AH1 and Bell UH1.

Again it depends whos flying it, but eventually they all come down to range.

do you mean like the pilot loses control of the chopper and crashes? if that what you mean then thats not the topic im saying how you are going to bring the guy down and you are on the ground you know like watching him transporting your enemies or shooting damn rockets on your comrades what ever happens you just want him down what would you use?

The "pilot error" can simply be crashing as you said, but it can also be flying really slow or towards enemy positions. And THAT is the most lethal weapon against choppers, it'll still lose tickets and the troops being transported won't magically survive, that's what matters.

Personally, I think MBT main guns, IFV autocannons and ATGMs are most effective against helicopters. At least against transport choppers.

CAS helicopters such as the Apache, Cobra and Havoc are hard to take down with these unless the pilot is going low & slow, or flying towards you at a good angle - this is where actual AA assets (MANPADS, deployable AA, AA vehicle) should take over. If they can't destroy it, there's a good chance they will at least scare it away.

Autocannons and (depending on the helicopter) HMGs.

SA-13 or SA-7

Auto-cannons and doing stupid all-out attacks resulting in getting shot down by AAs or by unlucky net lags and thus crashing into things.

When I'm in a chopper, the thing that usually gets me is lag... And it sucks

2.Grenade Launcher (Yes it works, kills the pilot and then the chopper crashes.
3.Shooting it with A.R. kit.
4.Hat Kit
5.SPG Techie
6.Ramming (XD)
7.Epic CAS vs CAS gunfight in the air. (until you Tk a friendly tank from a stray round of guided missile!)
8.Coax on Tank
9.MTLB 30mm
10.Mortar round XD (Yes, this happened to a few people on a round on Kashan). I think I have a video of it on my PC somewhere.

anyone shot down a chopper in an exotic way with an exotic method?

shot down the cobra with the 7.62 MTLB on Muttrah once. Takes surprisingly little amount of rounds, if the Cobra hovers its quite easy to get enough hits on him.

Of course many huey-pilots died by that thing too, since you can shoot through the windshield.

Apart from that the main-tankgun is my faviourite way of shooting down choppers.
