Desura PR Crash

Hi. I used to be able to play PR 1.0 just fine until the recent patch came out. I got PR 1.0 on desura, since I didnt want to have to mess with the iso file stuff, but now everytime I begin playing after 5-10 mins the game just closes. No explanation, no error message. Its ruined quite a few good Muttrah games for me. Do any of you know of a fix?

Thanks

I'm having a similar issue. While I didn't try out the PR version before this one to see if the new patch causes an issue, I have Windows 8 64 bit, and I installed a fresh copy of BF2 retail and patched it to latest, along with punkbuster, then I installed PR (from the ISO file, however) and it crashes randomly every few minutes without error message. At first it crashed on the loading screen for the first time, then it crashed after getting past it for two times. Now it crashes 5-10 min into the game. As a special note, I'm running the game at 120hz. I tried various things like disabling anti-aliasing and vsync, but to no avail. My brother runs his fine on Windows 8.

My hardware is as follows:

Computer Model:
ASUS G750JX-RB71
Operating System:
Windows 8 64-bit
CPU:
Intel Core i7-4700HQ Processor @ 2.4Ghz
Graphics Hardware:
ASUS Geforce GTX 770M 3GB GDDR5 @705Mhz (311.83 drivers because ASUS won't update their drivers to match Nvidia's latest)
Memory:
12 GB (3 x 4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz
Storage:
Hitachi 750 GB 7200RPM
External Monitor:
ASUS VG278H 27-inch LCD monitor @120Hz

Update:
Okay. I reinstalled BF2 and Project Reality, this time updating to 1.41 before 1.50 like it says in the instructions, and it worked! Now I don't get a CTD so often.
