Cannot launch game.

As with a lot of the problems I've seen people have I cannot launch the game.
I get to the intro video, it plays, then I get no errors and it just crashes with " Cleaning PR:BF2 resources " and it CTDs. I've tried the " 5 step fix " that is stickied and nothing appears to work.

I've updated my graphics drivers, I tried all 5 steps, and furthermore when I try to launch in windowed mode I get this :
I get to the intro video, it plays, then I get no errors and it just crashes with " Cleaning PR:BF2 resources " and it CTDs. I've tried the " 5 step fix " that is stickied and nothing appears to work.
