The ATGM cross hair is to thick, itd be ok if there was zoom but it gets in the way.

I agree. It's very hard to engage targets such as tanks at far range when the reticle obstructs the target completely.

There are a lot of Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, each with its own crosshair/reticle for the most part... Which one or ones are you referring to?

The TOW is the worst offender, imo.

Here's the TOW, for example.
Now, any target beyond like 300 meters is very hard to engage, because it will be so small that the crosshair will obstruct your view.

Yeah thats very annoying, you can hide a tank with this crossair, not a good aiming help.

If we had Zoom on all TOWs i wouldn't mind the big Crosshairs

do miss the zoom. i suppose that was a gameplay decision.

While I feel TOWs could use a higher magnification level, I do not wish to return to the old sniper TOWs of past versions with better optics then most armored vehicles.

People still TOW snipe. To be honest, does it even matter if people snipe with TOWs? It might not be standard practice in real life but it's possible. The only way for PR to reflect why armies don't TOW snipe in real life is if they ran an economic simulation in the background and made it affect resupply rates and other such things.

The PR DEVS and MA's are looking into it.

But they cannot effectively snipe the wings off a fly at 700 meters, where as in the old version I could zoom in so far I could read my horoscope off the paper in the hands of my target. They also has 9 TOWs, and I think the whole "economic simulation" can be covered by severely limiting the number of shots available before the need for an ammo bag.

I seriously doubt IRL they can hit targets at 3+ KM with no magnification. Right now the ATGMs are useless, as you cannot hit a tank at 500+ meters simply because the crosshair is larger than the tank itself, and even if you can see it, not having zoom and crappy engine resolution turns a simple task into a nightmare.

Must be fun playing on a gameboy display if you have problems like that.
On a serious not, it does make it a bit harder but it's in no way impossible, or ineffective use to the ATGM emplacements. You are either exaggerating, or really playing on a 2x2 inch screen.

Its really not that hard as henrique reports, but it is to thick and feels and looks "wrong", i hope this will be changed in a futher version.

Just about fine to me, when you consider that thing has thermals and wrecks every vehicle that gets in range. On no map, not on Black Gold, not on Kamishiyah, etc. have I ever experienced issues with taking out vehicles and even infantry at the edge of the VD (22'' screen, so nothing massive).

When i have sparetime i will take a screenshot with vehicles far away to compare, but from that screenshot it seems that a tank at end of vd will be smaller than the middle or the crosshair.

i'm fine with the lack of zoom as it is. the only change i want is for thinner crossheirs on the TOW. fix that and everything else is fine.
