Australian players?

I just got this mod today and to my surprise there are no Australian servers with anyone playing. In fact there is only one server with people actually playing on it, and it is over 300 ping for me.
Is the mod always this dead?

Hi mate.
Most of the Aussie community are at
BigD. Drop in and say hi
Is the mod always this dead?
Tough question to answer. There are a number of factors at play atm including some servers struggling with stability following the v1 release, other game releases (latest seems to be BF4 Beta and GTA V). So no not always dead.. but you will always find at least one fully populated server and sometimes get lucky for a low ping match on the Aussie server.
Anyhows.. welcome to the mod and community... tell all your friends

Yeah I have one friend who is just starting out too and hopefully can convince a few more to play.

Times when the Aussie servers are populated are on Fridays, Weekends and Monday nights around 7pm.
Now and then BigD hosts an event so I suggest getting in to those if you can.
As for PR being dead, it's not really dead from the American perspective (they at least have one full server) more on the Australian perspective with not that many people being easily available to play straight away.
So if you want to play Australian PR I suggest checking the servers around those times.
People from BigD usually post here if they're going to play on a certain night:

I've seen a few Aussies in the CIA Kokan & Hooker server, they don't seem to have many issues.
And Welcome to PR. As long as you practice flying in a local server, you should be fine.

Good to see, will definitely try to play with you guys when you organize events etc. Do you have a steam group that posts announcements or something or do I have to keep checking back to the forums?

).... Bahlye usually manually updates the
