Prior to 1.0 the scope on the SMLE Sniper Rifle was, well, useful.

Currently though, it gives very little magnification. I would dare go far as to say it's comparable to trying to snipe with an m4 with an ACOG on it.

Simply put, this sniper rifle, isn't. The same faction then has the ability to acquire a dragonuv with optics that magnify better than the current SMLE optics in 1.0

I understand these may be highly unconventional forces that utilize this rifle, but that doesn't mean the optics on this normally valuable kit should be nerfed to the point I'd be better off using a marksman rifle or just taking the iron sight version of the SMLE and sniping with that.

The Mk4 No. 1 (HT) only has a 3.5x optic in real life and modeled on the weapon; not "very little magnification," but not a lot, either. So, your comparison with the M4 w/ ACOG (4x magnification in the M150 RCO) is correct. The magnification was probably too large in previous releases and is now at a realistic one. If this is the case, then it wasn't nerfed; an error was corrected.

I share his concerns. I find the SMLE and Mosin-Nagant as some of the most useless sniper rifles in the game.

MN 1891/30 / K44 Sniper is also modeled with either a 3.5x PU or 4x PV scope; can't remember off the top of my head, but the PU 3.5x was more common.
