Whenever I try to join a server the screen freezes and then PR closes. I have gone through all display and audio settings. Checked the whole registery etc. I have never had this problem before. I have used two days trying to figure this out and searcing around the internet. Really hope you can help me.
When closing this message comes up:

Windows 7 Ultimate: Black Edition
CPU: Intel i7 6-Core 3930k
Ram: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB

Hiya, welcome to PR,

Please post your system specs from PRLauncher:
1. Start PRlauncher
2. Click Support
3. Click "Copy to Clipboard"
4. Paste everything in this thread.

Does vanilla BF2 online multiplayer work?

Next, try running PR in windowed mode:

In PR, If you crash at the splash screen, or the screen goes black and then crashes to desktop, try to start PR in windowed mode by following the directions below:
Start PRLauncher->
Options->
Video Tab->
UNTICK the Fullscreen tickbox->
Chose a display resolution and refresh rate that is smaller than your desktop resolution from the drop down menu, or create a custom resolution, make sure your refresh rate is correct for your monitor->
Click Apply

If you start in windowed mode and it CTDs, a Message will pop up telling you the problem. Take a screenshot or write this down and post it to this thread.

With your system specs info and any error message from the CTD popup message, we'll have the info to fix your problem.

Windowed mode does not work either. And no I can not play BF2 on singleplayer or multiplayer.

Are you running any type of overlay programs, like RAPTR, Fraps, Skype, Asus AI Suite, Steam overlay, TS3 overlay, Overwolf overlay, etc? turn all of them off completely.

Try disconnecting this monitor:
1440 x 900 (32 bit) @ 60 Hz
rebooting, adjusting your desktop to just one screen (will be resized automatically )
then trying BF2 in windowed mode:

In BF2, If you crash at the splash screen, or the screen goes black and then crashes to desktop, try to start PR in windowed mode by following the directions below:

Edit your BF2 shortcut and put this in it

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +restart +menu 1 +fullscreen 0 +szx 1280 +szy 720

Make sure you don't omit quotation marks or it wont work.
