Is it possible to add the ability to SHIFT CRAWL thereby crawling faster just like you can SHIFT move to RUN?
I'd love to be able to crawl much faster.
Sorry if this has been proposed or discussed already.

I also proposed this to be done for moving tactically (with scope to eye) with a concommitant decrease in aim, however was informed by the DEVS that the BF2 engine didn't allow this... so you're idea - for the faster leopard walk is probably cactus too...

Why not up the speed up the current crawl (if this is possible) then bind the shift key to the new speed, then restore the old one, that way when you press shift it should start speed-crawling ?
But i know nothing about coding and such (I Tried to do fast roping for the blackhawk last time i tried python lol.....) So i could be very wrong.

Like in Operation Flashpoint...you crawl normally hold down the Shift key and bang speed crawling.

make everyone in the open only able to crawl to avoid getting slaughtered because they haven't the sense to keep their big heads down.
Then people would really know what crawling is about!!!!
I remember once at night inside a training camp, being taking in pairs for a walk, unnanounced of what we'd be doing, then the CSM who'd taken me and a mate from my dorm told us to lie down and start crawling. He slowly walked along beside us, talking us through, encouraging us in our crawl to nowhere in the dark, then told us to crawl into the engineers/mechanics area and memorise the plates on four 4 tonne wagons between us and crawl back and recite them off.
That night was luckily a balmy autumn evening so was fairly dry and warm, but it was an experience to remember forever, especially if the terrain means that in a fight you could potentially be crawling 400-500 yards to an enemy position to take them out, whilst under fire.

is it possible to make it impossible to shoot while crawling because i dont know how that is physically possible, well i suppose you can shoot while crawling but it wouldnt be accurate at all

Well I've tried and it's next to impossible, anyone who care to disagree with me is filthy liar.

If you are a right handed shooter you can hold the rifle with both hands, use your left elbow to support front weight, and dig your feet in to gain force with the ground to push your body and elbow along the ground. You can shoot pretty well with practice this way, and crawl slowly while shooting.
It's not practical and in very few situations would ever be used.

maistros, the way you describe this though, it would be a VERY slow crawl, much slower than BF2's crawl.
But I agree with orginal poster, a fast crawl that takes up ALOT of stamina (have you ever tried crawling before with full kit??? its not fun)
A normal crawl that doesnt take up stamina.
All crawling activity prevents firing (like sprint currently does).
Only stationary prone you can fire (very accurately too)
