Random short freezing

So I have an issue hopefully someone can help me with, recently I have been getting random freezing, for about 10-30 seconds and then the game returns to normal.

System Specs.
Asus P8Z68-V LX Sandy Bridge
Intel i7 2600k @3400MHz
8GB DDR3/1333MHz Memory
GeForce GTX 780 3GB 384-bit
300Gig Intel Agility
Xonar D1 7.1
Win 7 Ultimate x64 / Linux Mint

I have the PR.exe, PRMumble.exe, and PR Laucher.exe processes at high priority CPU usage.

I also "Unparked" my CPU so all cores are running. Would this be the issue?

any ideas?

Unparking seems unnecessary to me with your CPU (i have the same one ),

it seems to be the sound-card...

But Litoralis will probably make you find the 250%-reason in a few simple steps (he will post in here soon, probably) ;)

OR some background program is interfering...

I unparked for battlefield 4, just wondering if that is the issue.

Unparking is almost certainly not the problem.

I believe it's a background program probably.
Did you happen to have the Asus Ai Suite Netowrk iControl software installed? That can cause this problem.

Raptr, Overwolf, AI Suite, Fraps, MSI Afterburner, Skype, Steam overlay, etc, something in the background is stealing UI focus.

WHich program do you use to change CPU priority and which for unparking?

I have a similar problem, but rather than freezing it becomes very choppy for a minute or two, occurring every 10 or 20 minutes, and then is smooth again. Nothing extra running in the background. The installation is through Steam but the overlay is disabled and I don't start the game through it.

The problem happens even more often during the night time Vietnamese map.

BearVsGeologist,
first off, that's a funny screenname,

but you got to give us your PC specs or we can't offer you any advice.

BearVsGeologist,
I don't think we have much we can do for you,
Display Memory: 256.00 MB

PR is maxing out the GPU memory , every time it hits the max, it will result in your choppyness,
The memory usage will then get reduced, and you'll be back to normal.

It's all right, I shall soldier on. Thank you though.

One thing we can do, turn of ALL windows UI, so that win7 looks like basic WindowsXP,
You can use this:
Ultimate Windows Tweaker, a TweakUI for Windows 7 & Vista
to make this easier.

The idea is to free as much video ram from use in win7, so it's free for your gaming program.
