1 gigant building, like the Titian in BF2142!?

Any one played BF2142 Titan? Ok hold on now Im not gonna talk about that game any more, What Im suggestin is that those fights you get on the titan could be done in BF2 PR not like a space ship but lets say a Bunker or big building?

Cuz its is pretty fun fighting on that titan, so I tough " wow... would be so cool do the same in PR, in halways, and rooms.

1 BIG StaticObject like the titan! But insted a:

Bunker, powerplat, ship, Oilrig, Hotel, factory, sky-skrape, submarine, sewer, bora-bora-caves, airplane-hajacked by insurgent, fotaball stadium, mine?

well that would be so cool with some big firefights inside one huge building.

No what I mean, Lets say a BIG map and at the end of that map is the last capture point and lets say its a Bunker?

That's what I'm afraid of, that map was aweful. No matter how hard you try, indoor CQC with the bf2 engine it's gonna end up like CS.

And it lags like hell (Iron Gator).

Indoor maps will be more realistic but....if you want to have a indoor fight then just kindly ask the enemy to step into the Hanger or Depot ... that counts as indoor.

Err... with a hijacked commercial aircraft map it would be so small you might as well have a Phone Booth map.

I think this could be done pretty well. Re: CQB, that's great, but it has a vanilla feel to it. It would be great if this was in PR.

It would be really cool to have some sort of massive underground Chinese base, with the Americans assaulting from a couple entrances.

Or maybe just a map with a whole ton of buildings that can be entered, like Road to Jalalabad but dialed up a whole bunch further. Like insurgents assaulting an area of the US Green Zone. That would be awesome.

Isnt there a problem with the BF2 engine that makes it render everything within your view range (not everything you can see, but everything that you could possibly see) which makes it absolutely aweful for indoor/room to room fighting because it makes everyone's frame rates drop through the floor? I thought that was the whole reason there were so few enterable buildings in VBF2...

Oh what? you mean like everyone chosing Support, spamming granades and re-arming constantly, prooving how 1337 they are with the highest K/D ratio at the end? Which then allows them to chose AP mines for Recon to only leech off of the support for ammo, while spamming proximity AP mines? WHich then allows them to select the sentary gun and shiled to continue the defensive rape even further?

However, yeah a big building would be groovy. I sure you R-Devs could rustle some stuff outa BF2 SF like the RPGs and all, then slam that into PR?
What would be realy groovy, is if you replaced some, if not all, of the carriers with the BIG carrier off 'the Iron Gator' map?
More realistic size, wouldnt you say?

If thats possible, could ya leave the Engineers with the graplin hook at all times instead of just hills of Hyng? Maybe a Zip line for the spec force eh?

Grappling hook for engies all the time would be bad IMO because it is a nice thing for the insurgents to have (gives them the 'they're all around us!' feeling). Also ziplines in BF2 are stupid, you can shoot clear across a map.

iron gater was just a mess,
the MEC had 2 options rape every one spawing on the deck with the hind, or lose the hind. be raped on the beach by the apatche then be raped in the well pool out the back.

like ive saids 100's of times, the dam static is a great CQC enviroment. but the way kits are now the machinegunner and AP guy would dominted them once all the entry points are worked out

Yeah, but its not HORRIBLY unrealistic.(to me anyways) Fair enough the 10000mille zips you could do with then xip lines but possible to shorten range? Added crossbow drop? And if a conventional army noticed that they keep losing vast armies to graplin hooks, im sure they would employ them thereselves.

I agree with you.
I dont nessecarily mean have a level like it, or even a level based around carrier assault. I mean just replace the tiny little things with the Big ones. Maby bad idea because of the size of some maps :)
