Not possible with the engine.
Plus, unlike WWII, that doesn't happen much anymore in real warfare.

IT is possible with the engine.
DON"T EVEn say stuff like that without looking it up first and researching.
Its even on one of the youtube ones. so....

It would be just like a spot on one of the HMMWV's where the passengers have their legs hanging off the back

Allied Intent did it. NAW did it. But PRMM shouldn't because that's a crude and uncommon way to travel. With today's warfare, you'd get sniped off the tank when the gunner pauses it to take a shot.

My bagel, I thought you ment to the point where someone could literally hope on the tank, as in jump on not use their E key, and roll out.
Also, when the tank fires, that'd be the end of their hearing.

I tried that before, it worked too. We even did it on a boat once, we had like 7 extra guys in the boat, I think it was 12 or 13 total.

Acting as a meatshield for an armoured vehicle doesn't sound like a whole lotta fun!

Operation human shield, protect our tanks and planes too!

Point is I think this is a back-burner thing... if at all.

Hm, every time we've tried it just ends up with the person that jumps on either dead from getting "run over" or sliding off.

It'd be the end of more than just your hearing. Being that close to the gun when it fires would probably give you a concussion and burst blood vessels at the least. They say even being a safe distance away is like getting hit in the chest with a 2x4. Not something I'd want to experience.

Sitting on outside of tank is kinda cheesy. It would be cooler if you could sit on outside of APCs, like the Americans did in Vietnam and the Russians do in Chechnya.

I think it would be useful, you'd only use it on huge maps where you start miles away. Steet Thunder springs to mind, I haven't played it with the new tanks but it used to be a real pain in the arse if all tanks were full and you have to hump all the way to the bridge!

I don't see a problem putting it in, there seems to be a split opinion on it, but the people that don't fancy being on the outside of a bullet magnet don't need to.

I don't think the poster ever thought of actually being on the tank while taking fire. I think he just wants to use the tank as a transport, which IMO is a very good idea. Gets you from place A to place B faster and the tank gets some infantry support when the fighting begins.
