The title says it all. I go to click on squad or kit and i hit the other team and then some other guy spamming the other team so he can play with his buddies takes my spot then I'm fucked.

Solution: don't click on the other team .

I know what you mean though, happens/happened to everyone. If you can't be switched back, ask one of the admins to be switched back, they're usually okay with that. Of course admins need to be online, but still.

Real solutions:

A: add a "Are you sure?"-pop-up window when changing teams.
B: or make only a double click count when changing teams.
C: or redesign/relocate the team, "Kit" and "Squad" buttons.

A and B would clearly be the easiest and quickest solutions.

Remember the bf2 mod engine can be very limiting, some of this probably is not possible. Also the dev's should spend their time working on other stuff like fast ropes!

A: Never going to happen; you click on it, so it does what you ask
B: Unsure if this is even possible in BF2

If this was such a terrible thing, the vBF2 players would have cried their asses off as it's the same there and basically in any other mod.

can you not just disable player team switching? leave it to admins to switch players.

been a victim of this myself a few times, it can be a real pain

I have a solution!

A. Use your brain and thing before you click.

(Not saying it never happened to me, but i blame myself. You hurry in a game like PR, you get punished, end of the story.)

Press enter for the kit menu, capslock for squad. That way you can't misclick.

It's already like that. If admins don't allow teamswitching through autobalancing scripts for example, you can click the other team's "tab" as much as you like, but nothing will happen.

Game play would be some of the last things you would see I think, since people would expect too much of it and they could almost only be disappointed.
However I sincerely hope that we will be spoiled with some screenshots of what they have been working on before New Year
