This map is getting very agrivating. This map lags horribly, i have no problems with the other maps...just this one. Every time a server switches to this map it will either crash PR, or when i get in i cant do anything. Anyone else have this problem? Other then this the mod kicks *** everythign ive been looking for in a BF2 mod.

Basrah works fine for me, Grease Monkey is pretty laggy. Kinda like Iron Gator is smooth as silkk, but Warlord I lag terribly...

I have to laugh at the irony of your name with the issue you're having! :D

This map heavily lags for me and so does basrah. Come to think of it alot of the old maps lag for me aswell since .4 came out.

oi you git! lol

With any luck guys, Basrah performance *should* see a huge performance increase , but no promisies.

Basically Al Basrah in .4 could be compared to trying to drive a car with the handbrake on.

Operation Greasy Mullet is a great map, I did however experience some fps drop. This is due to

:large view distance
:lots of vehicles
:lots of objects and vegitation

It has had alot less comlaints than others, so er not sure when it could be fixed so to speak.

I agree with the fantastic irony of your name OP.

ive never actually played the map since servers dont tend to play different type of maps other than urban/desert/jungle.....

Greasy and Al Basrah both have a long map load lag. I bet you guys forgot to defrag your drive after deleating the old build and downloading the massive .4 build?

Keeping your machine fit is akin to a soldier keeping his weapon clean.

Im sure quite a bit depends on what settings you are running.

I run Medium with 4xAA no problems.

I did not defrag nor have I in months.

the name was made when 6800s were cool, now it applies to what id like to do when im out of High School.

Yea =\...got an Nvidia 6800 3.4ghx Proc (upgrading soon me hopes) and 2 gigs of ram.

im defragging now.

But its a great mod im very impressed by it....now to find a clan since GSF disbanded :(

Defragging doesn't improve read performance of newer hard drives (within the last 5 or 6 years) nearly as much as it did in very old hard drives. It's still better to be defraged, but you probably won't notice a difference.

About that maps lagging. Well, all I can say is you shouldn't have a gaming rig with less than 2GB of RAM these days....
