Okay, so I just got a new PC. It has windows 8 and I haven't played this game on PC before. I only played games like Arma and such, I seen the project reality mod so I had to get BF2, so yesterday I bought the game and when I pressed join server or go into single player in the normal BF2 the screen would free and go black then the game would stop working. It happened firstly when I changed my resoloution. My PC is a 60Hz I think. But the game constantly does it, Even when I start up BF2, BF2 Single player and Project Reality only when It attempts to go into the game, I re-installed the game everything. If anyone can help me please do so. I really want to play the mod. And BF2 itself. - Thanks.

Also, No error comes up. It just shuts off and i dont see any error i even print screened it just goes back to desktop, tried 3 times.

Nothing worked man, I turned off firewall I can't find nothing involving "UDP flood to host" I got a FibreOP thing that's all I know. I'm not really good with internet and stuff like that. :/ Is there anything else you can suggest. I'm dying to play this mod. and it would be just $10 down the drain.

Ok I got the game somewhat working, but when I click where I wanna spawn I get kicked from the server for abnormality or something.

You have to give me the exact error message and we'll be able to give you some exact advice on how to fix it.

You need to download and run both those programs.

Only three options can be causing this.

1. Punkbuster is not installed correctly. (download the two files in the link above to fix this)
2. antivirus or firewall is blocking punkbuster. If you run pbsetup from above link and it says you failed connecting to punbuster servers, this is the possible problem, or the router below is the problem.
3. your router is blocking the port punkbuster uses.
