A few days ago, the game worked fine but today, my PR lags again. On PR offline mode works fine, Bf2 vanilla works fine too but PR multiplayer, lags every 3-5 seconds. Other games like Team Fortress 2 and Red Orchestra 2, theres no lag. Help me again.

General suggestions:
1. Page File: 1,19 GB
Increase your page file to 2GB.

2. Defrag your C: drive.

3. Unpark your CPU cores,

3. Download Bitsum ProcessLasso Free. Make sure you download the correct version, Free 32 bit or Free 64 bit, Process Lasso - Automate and optimize process priorities, CPU affinities, power profiles, and more!
-- Start PR, JOIN AN ONLINE SERVER, alt tab to desktop, open ProcessLAsso window, right click on PRBF2.exe, PRLauncher.exe, and PRMumble.exe and pnkbstra.exe and pnkbstrB.exe and give them default priority status of High, set the PRBF2.exe to gaming mode, and give them high or higher access to RAM.
Unpark your CPU Cores in ProcessLasso->Options->Configure CPU Core Parking->UNpark your cores.

ParkControl FREEWARE that enables easy adjustment of Windows core parking.

Maybe the recent Windows updates messed around somehow, afaik there also were some "Visual C++" updates amongst it: Microsoft Security Bulletin Summary for December 2013

increase page file

This link is for Win 7, but should work in Win 8 too: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... =windows-7

and read Litoralis post again about "unpark cores", it is the download-link Litoralis posted.

I increased the page file to 3,46 GB and unpark my CPU cores, but nothing. The game still lagging. I think, i dont need to desfrag my C: drive, because other games work well.

Is it your internet connection lagging, or your frames per second dropping?

The answer to that question can drastically narrow down our troubleshooting.

1. You are from Spain. I hope you don't play on the Brazilian PR server? (communada PR Brasilia or something).
Lags would be completely normal if you play on a server in South America.

2. Maybe you should try to Update/Re-Install Punkbuster.
PunkBuster Online Countermeasures
Sometimes this can be the cause for lags. <- will only take 2-3minutes to update and 5mins to reinstall.

3. Also, try to turn down the "Effect Settings" in your graphic options.
Explosion can have a huge impact on the FPS in BF2. Especially when shits hits the fan with 100players.

Do you only have 1 Harddisk? if yes, 6GB Free Diskspace is not enough, try to delete files that you don't need anymore. You should have 20GB free. Atleast on HDDs, i'm not sure about SSDs.

5. When i was using Windows 8 i had a lot of problems. Mumble didn't work, BF2 Editor didn't really work. And PR was unplayable on some maps because of the lags.
When i reinstalled Windows 7 everthing worked like a charm again.
If you got the chance to downgrade, and it wouldn't take to much time or effort, you should give it a try.

My system is really old. 2 Core x2.13ghz, GTS 450, 4GB DDR3 x 886mhz Ram
You should be able to play it on high or atleast medium, without any lags.

Yeah, you can download the free fraps version from FRAPS game capture video recorder fps viewer to get an exact view on your fps. ;)

He also could open the console in PR and type in:
renderer.draw fps 1
to see his FPS without using an extra program, that's just gonna need extra space on his HDD which only contains 6gb of free space.

to open the console press the "?" or "?" key below your Escape key while you are in-game.

edit: The forum doesn't know the key  just press the key below ESC and you're on the right side.

Well, with the ingame command you see two different fps values... (and nobody might know what they both actually stand for)

The first one is the actuall FPS...the second number only god knows about ^^
I wish i'd knew what it would stand for.
Anyway, the first is the FPS....Fraps would give away the exact same value.

Second number is the time between sequential frames.

According to here which makes sense.

Also, as you can see here, as my FPS drops, the second number increases (consistent with the idea of the time between frames).

I have the same operating system that you and I have no problem. you should uninstall the game completely and download the PR.ISO. Use any program that cleans all folders and Game records.

Should type: renderer.drawfps 1 before you were doing renderer.draw[space]fps 1 which is incorrect.
