=DRK= (What it is, and isn't)

Hello! Lately there has been a lot of confusion about the =DRK= community, generating some controversy and problems... and I wanted to personally come here and clear some things up.
For those of you that don't know me, I run a semi-popular Youtube channel (Bluedrake42 - YouTube) where I post Project Reality and assorted gameplay videos. I have been an avid Project Reality player for many years now, and I absolutely attribute most of my online success to the Project Reality community.
Firstly, =DRK= is not a clan, it is an open community primarily consisting of new and learning players who have found Project Reality through my channel. I generate a lot of viewership, and I wanted to offer my viewers a convenient way to break into the Project Reality community without feeling intimidated.
I absolutely believe that in order for Project Reality to maintain its strong community, it needs a steady stream of new players and community members to keep its player base healthy. However, (similar to player influx during major releases) any large influx of new players will inevitably cause some "growing pains."
While many of the =DRK= members are Project Reality veterans looking to help newer players, the vast majority of =DRK= members are new, inexperienced, and possibly disruptive players (often kids.) While I encourage you to use the same amount of patience and understanding that you would for any new Project Reality player, =DRK= is by no means exempt of server rules... and if =DRK= members deliberately break those rules, I wholeheartedly support any disciplinary action server administrators deem necessary.
However... ultimately, the vast majority of =DRK= members are new players who have no connection to one another, and are only looking to experience the game and meet new people. While many clans such as =]H[= =HOG= and ]CIA[ have unified identities and standards, =DRK= is merely a collection of players who are simultaneously a fan of both my channel, and Project Reality. To shun an entire community of players over the actions of a few bad apples could potentially turn away a potentially massive influx of new players (who would help keep the mod we all love so much alive.) And while many of the =DRK= members are inexperienced and unruly, only our willingness to teach and guide them will give us the Project Reality veterans we enjoy today.
So again, while I absolutely believe server rules should be strictly enforced (just like normal) try and judge =DRK= players individually, and by their willingness to learn... not by their tag.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me personally either through a Project Reality message, our section in the PRTA teamspeak, or on this thread.
Thanks so much for reading,
