Distorted/ static sound when trying to talk on mumble

I just reinstalled my windows 8. PRMumble used to run very smoothly, now many people said that when i talked my voice sounded distorted and static. I recorded my own voice with sound recorder app and it sounds just fine, however they said it got distorted when trying to talk on mumble. Is there anyway i can fix it? i use default setting on prmumble configuration.
