MG3 magazine linkage

There still appears to exist the magazine linkage issue when the amount of remaining magazines in deployed mode does not correspond to that amount in undeployed mode.
How to reproduce: choose MEC faction, grab an AR (not MG!) kit with optics (the unscoped kit seems ok), deploy the gun (button 4 by default), shoot a couple of magazines so that there are 4 mags left, switch to undeployed mode (button 3) and you'll have 6 mags.

Had the same issue with the Chinese LMG/MG Kit. Deployed, I thought I fired all bullets because it acted like I shot all rounds, then on undeployed, I had some rounds left.
This was on 1.0

I can confirm this issue, had the same problem in 1.0 version with MEC MG3.

Thanks for the report. I have put this on our internal bugtracker.
Can anyone confirm the report of Arab on the chinese LMG? (can't be MG cause that one doesn't have a undeployed mode)

Just tested the Chinese AR kit in deployed and undeployed mode. Works fine, no issues with the magazine.

both scoped/unscoped?
Does the MG3 have multiple firemodes?

1. Both scoped and unscoped Chinese LMGs (QBB-95) have no issues with magazine linkage. Just tested, works fine.
2. The MG3 doesn't have multiple firemodes in both scoped/unscoped. But the magazine issue exists ONLY in scoped version of the AR kit. Also just tested.

I would think not, since it doesn't have them in real-life.

Yeah, just asking that as often having multiple firerates screws up the maglinking. Anyway, this is a tricky one to fix, but hopefully it will be fixes soon

Often or always? Does "often" mean that it was fixed with the M4 DM and Mk-12?

From what I can see from AD's posts on this issue (he fixed these issues usually) it always give this issues with weapons with multiple firemodes, as they can't be maglinked. You need to ask him or another BF2 coder for more info.

It worked before 1.0, IIRC. WTF? Weird shit.
