Was it intended for ammo bags to provide essentially infinite ammo?

The ammobag provides around 175% more ammo than it costs. So as a rifleman you can reload 6 magazines or 1 grenade AND the ammobag. It also works with others of course and whit little communication and teamwork your medic will never run out of epipens/bandages.
Badmojo adjusted the values some time ago i think, but i dont remember why it did not get implemented.

I know that Mats, but OP seems like talking about another issue that we are not aware of. At least thats what I was thinking.
We've discussed ammo bag values some time ago and explained what you can or can't get from 1 ammo bag with values and such. You can check from below if you are interested in details, especially Gracler's posts.
This issue puzzles me. A rifleman can theoretically sit in the same spot, throw both of his grenades, throw down an ammo bag, and he'll get both his grenades back AND the ammo bag. This doesn't make sense to me; it's as if he pulled another ammo bag straight out of his ammo bag.
The fact that a rifleman is carrying around essentially infinite ammo is detrimental, both from a realism and gameplay perspective.
