Error no. 62

Because this is my first post here I would strongly welcome all the local community. I followed PR for a long time and I decided return to it after some time away. However, as usual something must spoil this positive feeling. :?

I decided to install a PR via Desura because it is easier and faster solution. After a long installation procedure I started to update the version of PR. After a quick deal with error 1301 I finally started with an update. After a moment when I try to update to 1.0.31.0 error numer 62 appeared that looks like this:

access denied

The file that supposedly causes these abnormalities is like fort knox. Nothing can be done with it despite the fact that I am the Lord in my PC. Neither rename, or delete or change permissions. Any ideas about that fart?

My pc: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Intel i5 2500k
Radeon HD6850
8 GB RAM

Did you hear/read of the way to "manually" patch your PR versions? There is a way to manually download "patch" after "patch", and then install them in PR.
But wait for Lithoralis help on this.

try rebooting in to Safe Mode, and deleting it.

Ok, I solved the problem of mistical files by one clever program. I also try to install BF2 in diffrent folder (not program files). Now I'm downloading the PR again. Time will tell.

Actually I had not thought about manual installation of patches. You can expand the weft?

Update: So, I think the error 62 is now a history... but another error appeared!

Error is appearing with install of 1.0.31.0 patch.

You have what I think is a unique problem.
I beliee the source of the problem is the user account is not an admin, or you have non-default and higher security levels on your C:/Users directory and subdirectories.

You could try changing the Update download location to something like C:\ProjectRealityUpdate that is not a subdirectory of restricted Windows directories.
Open PRLauncher-?Support->Global Tab->Change the directory of the pdate download location
PRESS APPLY.

Then recheck for updates.

There isn't much else I can offer as it's unique to something going on in your OS installation.

Ok, thank you. I will try it and for about a hour I will give a result.
