weird problem.

my mumble L&R channels are reversed... very annoying when in game


actually the sound is completely flipped.

So if someone is talking behind me i hear them in front ... etc etc


any ideas on how to fix this?

How on earth did you manage that Super haha good fixing it !

i reformatted my PC and now nothing works lol.


Think I have all the correct drivers reinstalled but yeah ... Just mumble has its sounds flipped.

So ONLY Mumble is reversed?

IDK where to start.

Give me all the specs and parts for your audio setup,
check the drivers,
If you have a realtek audio chipset, check to make sure the stereo channels are not reveresed, or audio set to 4.0 or 5.1 surround.

I would go as far as say download vanilla Mumble from Mumble and isntall, join a public Mumble server and test L-R channels there.

IDK... how that's possible.

My head set is set to 7.1

mumble cant handle the power!!!

actually I don't know,

Is your headset actual 7.1 (as in it has 8 physical speakers), or a virtual 7.1 headset?

I don't know much about this, it might be possible to get it to work, you'll have to wait for others with the 7.1 headsets/speakers to respond.

Try downloading the beta drivers for it.
IDK what else to say, seems the virtual 7.1 works for vanilla mumble.

i could not get it to work with vanilla mumble...

It actually was worse with vanilla.... it kept jumping about around my head when doing the audio test.


Which beta drivers are you on about?

there was a beta driver that was released for win8.1, had good reviews.

already got that installed.
