Hello,

I got a problem with Project Reality / Battlefield 2

I had no trouble with playing this game on 01-20-2014
But now suddenly i receive this error:

I reinstalled Battlefield 2 and Project Reality + patch 1.41 and patch 1.50
But still receive the same error.

I also updated / installed:

- Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer)
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5

But with no help.

I only got SSD's
But the are not full.

What is the exact model of SSD that your C: partition is located?
It is fucked. Probably just a read/write error, but slight chance it is physical.

You should download the SSD manufacturer's utility software, and scan for errors.

Then use the chkdsk utility in windows 7,
I guess the chkdsk /f switch is the one you want to use:

I got Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series ATA device
Samsung Solid State Drives | 840 Pro Series SSD

Checked for Error's at:

- Local Disk C:
- Properties
- Tools
- Error Checking

Nothing found.

I don't got any problems with other games/Programs.
So I don't think it has something to do with my SSD

No I don't got dual GeForce GTX 780 in Sli

I got 2 screen on one card, maybe that's way it show up like:

Microsoft Windows 7 Luxury
Is a modified windows, Faster, Lighter and smoother.
Its nothing special xD

Vanilla BF2 does not work?

Let's try this:
IN Control Panel->Programs and Features
UNinstall Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)
Uninstall the Update also.
Let's just uninstall the X86 versions for now. Do not touch the X64 versions.

Reboot.

Try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) :
Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86) from Official Microsoft Download Center
And the security update:
Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update from Official Microsoft Download Center

might need a reboot , not sure.

Then test vanilla BF2.

I got it solved,

As I looked in this topic :

I had similar problems, and I also used the Graphic mod.

So I tried out what viirusiiseli said :

EDIT: Fixed it by reinstalling the graphic mod seen here: link.

I don't know how or why, but it works again.
