Low FPS with a GTX 780 TI

Good morning to everyone.
In this post I want to report that Battlefield 2: Project Reality has low FPS (20FPS I think is the lower value) in my tower.
I have discovered that the causes are the antialiasing, and the looking of the center of the map (in maps which have a lot of objects like Gaza, Ramiel...)
That is not normal, I think, for a NVidia GTX 780 TI user... :26_suicid
I don't have a very good processor (I3 with 3.1 GHz) and I don't have a lot of RAM (8 GB), but I think that are enought for this version of PR.
In my tower I have Windows 7 home with 40 backround processes, I use Game Booster 3.4 and I take care to optimize my PC, then, I don't know where I err...
My graphic driver are of 27 of January 2014.
Has someone the same problem?
Thank you

Hiya,

what is the exact CPU model number?
BF2 and PR are bottlenecked by the CPU.
BF2 engine uses only two CPU threads,
the only way to increase FPS at some point is to increase the speeds of the two cores that those two threads are allocated.

More to the point, your CPU will bottleneck the GTX780Ti in many different games. So as you already know, at some point you'll want to update the CPU to match the quality and performance of your GPU.

Thank you so much, [R-COM]LITOralis.nMd! Ok I have understood.
besides this, I have tried an optimization, which increases FPS from 20 to 30/40 in the heavy zones. I have setted the 3D graphic options of Battlefield 2 from the NVidia control panel, except for the antialiasing, that I have setted to 8x from the luncher video settings. One of the options was "thread optimization" which allow the application to use more CPU. So, I think is this the more influential option from the other of the control panel.

You need a better CPU! You are currently bottlenecking it with a nice graphics card.

It isn't just the graphics card that needs to be good in order to run games well, you need a good CPU as well.

This is true. A Core i3 is definitely a bottleneck for a 780 ti.

Not all i3 will be horribly bottlenecking.

You have got to be joking! Bearing in mind PR is not a 4 core game a 3.2ghz I3 should be getting a decent fps, we can safely assume it's not a GPU problem.

Have you tried running benchmarking software to make sure your graphics card is performing at the same level as normal?
