Ok here is my question...

You sneek up on an enemy sniper, have your way with him, and steal his kit, (goes for all limited kits).

What happens to the limiting... do the enemy loose one of their sniper kits while you or your team have their kit?.. Does your team effectively have one more kit?

As this is how i'd hope it works, but i'm not sure if it does. It seems that if you steal a sniper kit that kit becomes part of your teams allocation of sniper kits, so the next sniper to die will not have a kit to get as you have taken one off the enemy.

I love to steal sniper kits and i don’t even like being a sniper, i do it to stop the enemy having the sniper... but are my efforts all in vain????????

no it doesnt count towards your teams maximum allocation.

in future release it will count towards THEIR maximum allocation

cool.. so it doesn't stop the sniper you knifed from getting his kit back at the mo.. but it will in future releases..

That's great. I always take the SA7 on basrah to keep it out of enemy hands.

Also currently by you having a stolen kit does not count against your teams allocation either. So if you are running around with a stolen sniper kit it WILL NOT prevent your team from getting the amount of sniper kits you are allowed to have.

yeah this is a good thing i think

It is overpowered but since it can't target the LB's I think it balances out somewhat.
The new sniper rifles are reported to be even better so stealing and hiding with it will become a nice new tactic.

mmm, can't wait to see the havoc I can cause with one of those.

yeah, I will have to say that I like the sniper rifles...and if they're getting better... well, a sniper whore I will be.

Is there anything you can do to stop people tking you for your kit? nothing worse than some bugger murdering you for your sniper rifle, especially if there's no admins about to do anything about it.

Hmmm. I'll have to think about an idea for that one. But I've yet to get tk'ed for a limited kit (I also almost get the support kit which isn't exactly the most popular kit).

I don't see how there is anything to be done about being friendly steal kits by TK'n.

I had originally thought like an auto death but that wouldn't work because accidental bombs that may go astray could take out a limited kit and cause a dead pilot to be flying a plane. Oh the funnyness.

I don't think I"ve been TKed for a kit, but I have layed there critically wounded several times and had a medic come up and take my kit and leave me lying there. heh.. ********.

I watched a guy on Mutraah get Tk'd 3x on the dock crane for his sniper rifle.
But he was in my squad and we took turns killing the thief.
After the third revenge TK and much written abuse, he stopped stealing.
Police yourselves, if something happens like that just let the other players know.
It is a small community and people like that will get a reputation and will stop or be hounded out.
