General Idea
For the last 2 months, we in PRTA have organized some community matches that are not quite ordinary for PR. The main idea is that we let the commanders choose what faction to play as, and what assets to use. Then we organize squads and teams like we usually do.
The first battle we had, was between the UK and Germany. The second was between Canada and MEC. This time, we will have signups for commanders, to let anyone outside PRTA have a go at it.

Faction & Assets
To further promote the idea, we give 1200 tickets to each team. And those tickets are then spent purchasing vehicles that are placed on the map. The remaining tickets is what is used to represent the team on the map.
For example; Commander A purchases a vehicle 20 tickets. He then has 1180 tickets left, which is the amount of tickets he will play with during the battle.

Each weapon system has a price, although we will most likely change the prices, these are what they have been up till now.

5,56mm = 1
7,62mm = 2
12,7mm =4
14,5mm =5
20mm= 10
25mm=15
27mm= 17
30mm = 20
40mm =25
70mm = 40
75mm = 42
AA = 50
100mm = 50
ATGM = 60
Bombs = 70
120mm = 75
125mm = 80

Vehicle Slots
1 Slot = 1

Crates
Small crate = 3
Large crate = 9

We think this makes the commander role much more interesting.

Map with no flags.
We currently use the map Karez offensive, which feature no flags at all. This is to further the idea of a strategy, and a clean engagment of two teams. We hope this will give the commanders more freedom in choosing a plan aswell as the apropriate assets.
We would of course love another map, if someone is interested in donating it. We are mostly interested in 4k maps, but 2k should suffice aswell.

Is it possible to choose insurgents, and get infinite&free tickets, ammo, motorcycles?

You can choose the faction, but you cant have infinite tickets brew.

Is there a particular reason people are avry from taking the commander spot?

Probably the lack of promotion, I just spotted this thread myself, though I'm checking the forum everyday!

And the weapon buy system is a bit strange I think. I don't know all of these calibers and on which vehicles they can be mounted.
But with all those vehicle-weapon-variations its the only alternative to handle that, i guess.

Once we have 2 COs the battle should take place 1 month later. At this time we only have 1 applicant.

I think its not the fact they are scared. Its a monumental challenge to undertake organizing an entire team, and people who doesnt have experience with it might feel that is reason enough to not apply.

The application template is not helping in that regard.

Not to mention, the people who actually have experience in organizing teams this way play way less PR now. And so I hope this event might be a way to revive that Commander Passion some people have about the "perfect plan" or the "perfect team". etc.

There is obviously neither a perfect plan or team, but the dream must go on. And so hopefully someone who is very popular might applicate, or someone who has a big OCD on things might end up commanding. Or abit of both.

The science of Command is complicated..

I can't do it. I told my Tiger Platoon group about it. I hope one of them sign up.
