Any chanse you could make it so that Flag distance and flag icon would be turned off (for everybody) at all time.

I know you can turn it off by pressing Alt (this dont work for me tho - dont know why) but it would be more realistic if this was turned of for everybody
we have a minimap and a big map that has flags on em, without the flags/and distance showning in the game view it would become abit more nessysary to look at the map for direction.

btw can someone say what sort of command the alt key is bound to so i can get it in or typ it in the console to remove the flags

AFAIK if you turn off the 3d map you also gotta turn of the nametags. I mean, for good. You won't ever know whoever is in front of you by just aiming the mouse, lol.

But i'm at least 110% for removing the 3dmap, just tired of pressing alt everytime the game starts hehe

yeah, we could get rid of the whole 3d map.
Or then if possible just turn down the view distance for the flag icon?

Plus the fact that most dont turn it off, and you put your self in the position of playing at a disadvantage.

Like you said its all tied in, but maybe you could make it like the name tags where you cant see it 100000000000m away, but you have be within 50m or whatever number the dev. decide.

I feel sorry for people who acually use the 3D map...

the only reason i use 3D map is so i can see my squad mates around me. other than that, i couldnt care less if you removed it

I think ever since BF2 or BFV, whenever this thing came up, never actually used it. I even think it ruins the screen... though I don't really believe it gives an advantage for those who don't turn it off.

Also, just stating my opinion here cause I see most people don't like this and I even understand them, but I wouldn't even care if the whole stuff (nametags and 3d map) where removed. I never avoid a TK by looking at the guys tags... The uniform is quite different...
