predifined messages

Hi everyone,
currently on PRTA we are using the !tb command as a replacement for the !k command for stability reasons. So basically instead of kicking someone we just tempban him for 10 minutes. Is there any way to create a predifined message which explains why we do that?
Such a message could be helpfull because people don't understand why they get tempbanned and they are complaining about it ofc.

!tb nickname reason
You should create makros for your 'tb-reasons', you can just add the info "for 10 minutes".
!tb tobi afk -> Your message would then be: "You were afk and are banned for 10 minutes"
!tb wicca tk -> "Intentional teamkilling is not allowed. You are banned for 10 minutes"
!tb MESARKONI spam -> "Spamming in chat or mumble is not tolerated. You are banned for 10 minutes"
(etc etc)

I think he means a reason that shows to the player when he is tb'd. Since good old bf2 just says 'you were banned' and some more generic lines I remember correctly. Only with the kick command it shows the actual kick message I believe. Not with banning.
Tbh I don't know

I think you should ask one of the Python DEVs(Ancientman,Piepie,pyrus)/knowledged community python guys.

I should have been more exact i guess....
Alright, i am talking about the predifined messages which we can use like !allchat, !afk, !assetair, !lw and so on. What i want is such a command. Something that looks like !tbreason for example which will then show an admin message like this to everybody on the server "Temp bans of 10 min replace kick due to stability reasons."

you shouldn't be asking this then. Just ask sloan to implement it at PRTA. those messages like !allchat ,!afk are all done by the server admins themselves. Easily configurable in the server settings of python.
Also, it's also pretty annoying to see you claiming kicking has to do with server instability without it being reported on these forums. You want to keep it to yourself? PRTA doesn't want to help improve server stability?

We might be wrong. Kinda sucks that you suggest we are trying to keeping things away from other communities to decrease their stability.

I'm not suggesting that. Cause I know that's not how you guys operate

I'm asking why prta didn't come forward with this? And where the idea comes from. Even if you are wrong it's at least worth looking at.

Because you always said "Its not that". Really, everytime we had a suggestion to what could be the cause of it, you simply rejected it. Since you had tested it already.
Its abit annoying having you now step up and promote this kind of suggestions to server stability, when you were so adament that it was not the reason why earlier when you were working ont.. So unless you can only ask questions that arent hypocratic, I'd like to have this thread left for the current admins and technicians.
Or be closed, since it serves no purpose anyway.

I never tested the kick command on prta I think. I can only remember the first day of 1.0 when I kicked myself(some other non-related testing) and the server crashed.
I never really found anything while working with you guys to improve stability

And yes I did test other things so when that was indeed the case I will have said 'no'

But I doubt I said that about the kick command.
Anyway, you posted it in the private forums . So that's all I asked.
