PR:BF2 v1.1.6.0 Changelog

Winter is coming in PR:BF2 v1.1.6.0, including new map, effects, sounds, statics and textures! Here is a short preview of what you can expect in the new update:

KEY FEATURES:
  • Added Dovre_Winter map
  • Updated infantry movement speed
BINARIES:
  • Updated digital signatures on all PR binaries, fixing error 20.
GENERAL:
  • Fixed issue with non-public levels causing issues with public builds (test_airfield, etc.).
  • Fixed issue with PunkBuster update in support menu.
  • Fixed issue with auto deploy and custom max. players not working.
GAMEPLAY:
  • Fixed fall animation playing in parachute.
  • Fixed ultra fast resupplying zones on some airfields
  • Fixed USA Grenadier STD/ALT selection.
  • Fixed Syrian Rebels not healing in COOP.
  • Updated Syrian Rebels ALT-Breacher to use Remington870.
  • Updated the Commander Menu
  • Updated infantry to have slightly reduced movement speed (sprint reg/duration is not affected!)
EFFECTS:
  • Updated vehicle-to-ground(dust) and flare launching effects to look more realistic.
  • Updated smoke & fire effects on damaged vehicles to be more transparent.
SOUNDS:
  • Reworked distant fire sounds.
  • Updated distance sounds of grenades and ATs.
VEHICLES:
  • Added selection items to FSA Logistics Truck.
  • Fixed issue with CROW HUD showing while using M79 in vehicle
  • Fixed weak BMP-2, BMP-1 and Type86 armour spots from being too vulnerable.
  • Fixed COOP CTD when using the AA-Truck.
  • Fixed MEC BMP-1 and T-62 to require crewman kits.
  • Fixed MEC Light_MI-24 gunner seat from being not accessible.
  • Removed need for crewman kits on M113 and WZ551a.
  • Removed back-beep on various vehicles.
  • Updated various scout choppers with new FLIR weapon.
WEAPONS:
  • Fixed deployables to bring them in line with view distances and their size.
  • Fixed ZPU4 to have the correct HUD name.
  • Updated AGMs to have improved physics.
  • Updated Betty AP mine to have a lower trigger radius.
  • Updated Hellfire, HJ8 and PARS3lr LT missiles to have an increased lock angle.
  • Increased visibility of laser targets for GTLD slightly.
  • Increased ZU-23-2 overheating slightly.
LEVELS:
  • Updated Beirut:
    • Updated minor gameplay tweaks.
  • Updated Burning Sands:
    • Fixed MEC Depot to spawn correctly
  • Updated Dovre:
    • Added Dovre Winter
  • Updated Dragon Fly:
    • Updated ALT and STD layers to have 1 extra Militia BMP-1 for balancing.
  • Updated Jabal:
    • Updated minor gameplay tweaks
  • Updated Karbala:
    • Added more transport and armed vehicles to Insurgents for balancing
  • Updated Khamisiyah:
    • Fixed cache that was spawning players inside a table
  • Updated Kokan:
    • Updated Technicals to be respawnable.
  • Updated Korengal Valley:
    • Exchanged MH-6 with UH-60 on Insurgency layer.
  • Updated Kozelsk:
    • Updated Militia vehicle pool with more fire power on LRG/STD/ALT layers for balancing
  • Updated Pavlovsk Bay:
    • Added a few terrain tweaks
    • Removed certain flag routes which received negative feedback
  • Updated Sbeneh Outskirts:
    • Fixed various terrain and static issues
    • Updated asset layouts on all layers and a few flag layouts for balancing
  • Updated Wanda Shan:
    • Lowered ticket count on LRG layer, as the round was lasting too long
  • Updated Xiangshan:
    • Reworked flag and asset layouts on multiple layers
    • Fixed PLA Mainbase spawnpoints
    • Fixed minor terrain issues


PS: As the movement changes are quite sensitive, we will open a feedback thread in a week.
In the meantime you can check the gameplay yourself, so we get real feedback not just based on assumptions.

Great...although Kashan gone? April Fools? Cant see and increas from 7GB to 8GB being here or there :)

I never had an issue with the auto deploy, when was it not working? I've been using it all the time for the last months.

Finally a tiny step in the right gameplay direction. You need to change(increase) the deviation (settle time) after movement also. Or it will be even more deadly than now.

Why did you change the m4/m16 sounds from 1.1.1.0 to 1.1.4.0? I thought they were realistic...

After just having played PR 1.1.6, I have to say two things:

1. The G36 Sound does not sound different (April fool or what means updated?)

2. Sbeneh Outskirts causes CTD when loading

Kashan removal is just a joke, and the rest seems awesome!

BUT! When will you guys fix Dragon Fly where the british helipad is uneven, so the helicopter always almost flip?
