Extra ticket loss from giving up while wounded

The manual is a bit vague about this, and different users seem to have different understandings of the mechanics of ticket loss from giving up while wounded vs. waiting to die. One player told me there's one ticket lost for each death, and an additional one if you use the "give up" function instead of waiting to die completely, but I've watched the tickets stay the same when I die, one way or the other. Does it vary by server, map or team type?

1 ticket for when you are wounded, 1 ticket for when you are dead (dead dead).

If you get shot and are not reviveable (dead dead), you loss both atonce.
Revives will not give you a ticket back.
Waiting to bleed out will not help either.

example.:
You get shot and are wounded now. -1 ticket
Medic revives you.
You get shot again, but you are within the 2 minutes after a death, so you go dead instantly. -2 tickets
------------------------------------------
Sum = -3 tickets for your team.

example2:
Your Squad (8 players) drive in a transport truck.
A tow hits the Truck and destroys it instantly.
Ticketloss: 8players x 2tickets + 1truck x 2 tickets = 18 tickets gone.

Tickets are gone instantly and not on respawn.

Can anyone confirm this?
I thought it works different (wounded -1/ dead -1 on spawn meaning if you die on a ladder for example you only lose 1 ticket)

No if you die on a ladder or in a vehicle it will cost 2 tickets, so steckdose is right.

its true.

1 Ticket on wounded, another ticket for giving up. OR 2 tickets for going dead dead.

Dying on a ladder costs you 2 tickets.

I believe it used to just be one if you were dead-dead outright, but I tested it and it's definitely always 2 now :)

You got shoot and you're bleeding so you're?? wounded!

You got shoot and waiting for revive, the game show you as wounded, but that word is already in use, so in fact you're down/dead.

But if you're dead and can't be revived you're dead-dead. Why this and not super-dead, 'cause "Principle of least effort", its faster/easiest to say twice the same word then 2 different ones.

At least this is how I see it.

  • I'm bleeding ( I'm bleeding)
  • I'm black & white or I'm about to go down or MEDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIC :D (I'm about to go down)
  • I'm down or Medic I'm down (I'm critical wounded and can be revived)
  • I'm dead (I'm dead and can't be revived)
That mostly what I use. I always cringe when people use the term dead-dead because it sounds so weird. I'm black and white is also quite weird, but in lack of a better description that everyone understand it seems necessary.

It's annoying that dead in PR is a synonym for critical wounded. It takes a small part of the immersion away with this arcade use of the word.

Medic, I'm hit, need some patching!

Disambiguation. There is no question as to whether or not you are revivable. Particularly useful when dealing with new players.
