I was wondering if the many players here ever thought or decided to make more maps for PR:Vietnam? Maybe add the South Vietnam Faction (ARVN).
Model maps base off the fun retro game BFV(MISS THOSE BFV DAYS )but "expanded" maybe 2km or 4km maps and added modes.

1.Hue (w/INS)

2. Saigon 1968 (w/INS)

3. Operation Hastings (AAS w/INS)

4. Operation Game Warden (AAS w/INS)

5. Siege of Khe Sahn (AAS w/INS)

We need a return of INS to Vietnam so why not get the community to make it again.


P.S. i wish i could make maps but it looks like a headache and hard to learn to do.

the vietnam mini-mod has been founded and developed by players of the community anyway. I think the only reason there are not more maps (i guess some more are in development) is the lack of manpower and capable modders.
So, go ahead, create a map!

more mappers would be nice, but with so many factions being worked on we need maps for those too

I really liked the vietnam mod/maps so I hope someone is working on it

It's very simple, all you need is a map/battle that you are really interested in and motivated to build and a lot of spare time. If you got the motivation, learning to make maps is not hard at all.

I just started from the top and did every tutorial, it's also a good feeling when you learn something new. Almost all you need to know is here:

The community is more than capable of making new maps for PR:V, other factions, or even the core mod, they have all the resources and info they need its just a matter of having someone with enough time and motivation to make them, as Ason has said.

But making a Vietnam city map like Hue, especially if trying to make it accurate (which I would strongly advise to anyone doing it) would would be pretty challenging with the statics we have in PR and they would really need a whole new set of of statics made for them which is unlikely to happen.

I am going to start learning today how to produce maps and statics i have all the time in the world at the moment so as soon as i can get to know Battlefield map making system i will surely start working on new maps etc. i have so many ideas for new maps in my head so time to make those dreams come true.

Well, I think PR:Vietnam is better than original PR.
I would love to see more vietnam themed maps but I don't have the time to make maps.

I would really like to see the Vietcong implemented for INS. Also I think it'd be cool if the ANZAC forces could be put in.

A Vietnam city map would be really cool.

I could do textures for new vietnam factions. ARVN would be pretty easy to make although it may require some edits to the head models that I probably couldn't do

New factions would be great.
But new Vietnam maps would be even better, just like the city map suggestion.

I've been working on a ANZAC faction along with two maps for the Vietnam Mod with a couple other coders & modelers. Sadly due to time constraints we won't be working on this until later next month since some of us are moving out of dorms/starting school again/job-hunting. It has a long ways to go.
