Too many exposed caches.
IIRC one of such cache can be hit from long range by BTR-80A in water(even though the crew in it sucked and didn't realize it was a cache).
Cave caches are alright.
Caches in city are also alright; but one was floating in midair(it was two buildings East of construction, IIRC).
DoD obviously needed fix; both sides accuse the other of spawncamping but continues to(more success from RUS because they actually have a off-island spawn that militia can't get to) C4 and RPG unmanned vehicles at other side's spawn anyway.

God, I honestly enjoyed this map in that Testing Event someone hosted a while ago.
Now, it really is a shame.
Pros:
I like the map in general. Really does have some sexy firefights. And does feel realistic.
Very nice Balance.
Infantry is definitely supported on this map.
Russians will actually have to plan a attack before attacking.
Good FPS on this map.
Cons:
Caches are very open and some are badly placed.
Militia can be very weak on this map.
Overall Feed back:
Well designed map like before. I would give it a 8.5/10.
Performance is great.
Really is like Saaremma, but w/ Militia instead of USMC.
I wouldn't mind seeing this map in a dusk/night setting.
I can tell everyone one with pride, this is a good map!

+ Tunnels
+ Plenty of vehicles for transport
+ woodland and urban warfare
+ Hind, T90 and other apcs
- lack of DoD
- no markers or flag icons indicating mains
- no boats on carrier for Russian team?
- Russians (and russian militants) on a Japanese island? oh well.
writing on my phone so not writing long stories: overall a good map!

Skirmish mode respawn militia near the flag = spawncamping or difficult to take the flag for the Russian and the playable area is very large.

Why doesn't this map look anything like this ?
I feel the south part of the map is definitely not defensive friendly, especially the SW part. In the AAS layers, the Militia is in serious trouble as soon as the city is taken by Russia.
Despite that I feel the map is very very good looking and all the different parts of it look very unique and very thoroughly done. Some roads make me feel I'm making a rally racing.
Very late Edit : Also maybe the trees skin should be darker.

Rotate the image around 45 degrees counterclockwise and look again.

On the INS layer there is not enough trans on the carrier for the Russians. The one chopper usually dies quickly. When i played it i saw like 15 people just say fuck it and swim to the island because there werent enough choppers.

They have a spawn on the main island.

Some people? Like Japanese who naturally wanted island because whole country is too small(and running on America's milk); or people who just want Japan to have the island just because they want anything to negatively affect China, which they fear?
I could not care less about any of them.

I really enjoy this map more and more. the DOD is a issue though.
Plus, Militia main is easily camped.

The landmass is generally based on the same shape, but when you try and map like that you often find that the terraind doesn't quite work or that the resolution of the available area doens't quite work so you lose some details, change some shapes. This is what has happened.
rotate it a few more degrees anticlockwise, widen it a bit, enlarge the west indentation etc and you'll see how it happens.
You can see this process on Pavlovsk as well, where I deleted a bit of land and turned two port areas into one.

Because it was my first map, that I myself don't even really care for at this point. I considered real life data at first, but it if I had ocean around it also, it would equal out to 1:20 scale, which just doesn't work with how the island looks. Also both villages are on the west and north west coast, so much of the island wouldn't be used. Just think of its design as inspired by rather than a recreation.
As for the rally racing I do feel that way in AAS standard, which is why to me AASALT and Large are my favorites as the mil have a pretty good advantage.

General
Very nice map! The first big map where almost every spot is important and in play at the same time. Challenging flag layouts!
Standard
Asymetric but still very balanced! I think the first map which has such different assets but is still balanced. Very enjoyable

The slight vehicle advantage for militia is a perfect and fair challenge for the russian infantry and emplacement advantages!
Alternative
The additional vehicles for russian forces disturb the delicate balance between both forces.
The HIND and BMP2m additional to the BTR80A versus the minimal changed vehicle layout for militia is far too much. That additional AA truck just does not balance out the additional BMP2M and HIND.
Perhaps another T62 or BMP1 could solve that severe unbalance?

Can't tell much, just played it partially once. But that fog is awesome
