For some reason when I fired an LG rocket at a enemy tank, it diverted without me aiming at all and hit a enemy lase on our friendly tank...? Also it's ability to pull up is very stiff.

Probably laser on enemy tank is disappeared, and afaik bf2 missiles do like to re-lock on closest targets - which is was probably your friendly tank.

This is why you don't use LT. LT takes time to lock, lazes are unreliable and the fired missile is unreliable too.

Did you shoot LG (click where it goes) or LT (lock on lase)?

Guys he wrote LG and he checked it twice.

Are you 100% sure it was Laser Guided (goes where you click) and not Laser Targeted (lock onto a SOFLAM lase) as others have said?
If it was Laser Targeted, then this is a pretty common bug where the missile, once launched in an armed state, will go to the closest target in its FOV, which can easily be an enemy lase since the missile can't tell the difference between friend or foe, in the same way AA missiles can lock onto enemy jets, once fired but not before firing.
If this was Laser Guided however, this is really not possible unless something has seriously been screwed up in the code since LG missiles can't lock onto lase targets from SOFLAMs etc, and instead track a unique target fired by the chopper itself, as such the only way it would hit a friendly tank, is if you clicked on it, or the code got seriously screwed up some how but I'm pretty sure the apache or missiles didn't get updated in this version

The last change that laser targeted missles got was an increased lock-cone in an attempt to get them to shoot more reliantly at targets to your side. Im unsure if that worked, i think it is caused by other problems (missiles cant turn around or something like that). Could revert those changes to make LT missiles more precise again.

Ye might be an idea, as well as limiting the LT camera rotation to only be within that lock cone too? Although dunno if you can do that without also limiting the other camera rotations?

I think it would be better idea to have the weapons move a bit when aiming at extreme angles since the problem exists for LG as well. So eitehr have the weapons move slightly or limit the rotation of the camera to something like +/-85 (currently +/-100) to ensure you are always aiming infront of the weapons.
I have the feeling we are taking this off topic a bit

Would have to get rid of the dummy missiles and just have invisible barrels with missiles that don't come off when fire in order to rotate them with the camera and would look pretty good with the missile flying off from the side of the rack
As for LG, my biggest concern is the missiles locking onto targets you didn't intend to as per this bug report, don't have this issue with LG so its lock cone can be 360degs, and at long ranges it would be able to turn in time to hit a target to the side of it, just at close ranges it won't be able to but ye, people generally don't engage at targets to the side at extreme ranges
Biggest issue I have with limiting the camera rotation is you also limit the gun's rotation, unless you separate the two which would mean the camera/gun wouldn't rotate when your in LG/LT modes?
And ye, is a bit OT but can't be asked to make a new topic in the team forums

In my test in the past even the LG missiles with 360 lock cone never turned around. So it seems the effective engagement area seems to be 180 infront of the weapon. Will stop here now and wait Elshan to confirm whether it was LG or LT

He checked twice! He is pretty sure it was LG. (i was in the tank he Killed accidently
