And if it's different, what made you decide to give PR a shot? I first heard about it from a friend at work. He really like the extraction mode, and told me to give it a shot. I didn't want to at first, but then I figured what the hell. I was amazed at the level of squadplay. First map I played was Karkand, and I couldn't believe there were actually fairly firm battle lines drawn! Haven't gone back since.

I think this kind of info could help us with any future attempts at marketing PR to new players.

I saw a YouTube video of it. The sound of the guns just convinced me.

I found it surfing BF2 sites. Played one game and was soundly beaten down, never looked back since then.

downloaded the first release, nuff said.

clicked the link on totalbf2.. After i had downloaded all the other mods minus this and POE.. Was bored installed it and never got around to downloading poe.. Hopefully PR stays with the high hopes i have for it.

I dont remember, but we only had gloryhounds server at the time,once I tried it I never played Van BF2 again

I don't much remember either, long while back. I think it may have been
TotalBF2 and the mention of the words 'realism mod for BF2'. That'll get me.

a R-PUB, dunno who but they posted on BF2.org, where i was a admin at the time very long time ago about there 0.2 release. I played it then, didnt really much like it. I did hear about PR before then really but never looked into it.

then before 0.25 came out some clan m8s encroaged me to give it a try again, and i fell in love with it and soon after that made muttrah

Yeah, I started with .2 also. I really remember how I go here, I think it was the modding forums on total bf2.

My clan switched over.....so then I did.

When I was in my old clan someone told me to check it out (knowing I'm a mil-sim freak). Hearing it was much more realistic I quickly got V0.3 From there I was hooked. Now I spend more time on PR than regular BF2. The only reason I still play regular BF2 is none of my friends like PR. They think it's too "hard" and only care about stats.....

But I love it!!!!

I got hooked when I was surfing for new BF2 mods of Moddp.com. I started out in I think a little before .2 came out.

Speaking of which, I think I may of just recruited one of my buddies from my school to it. We were playing VBF2 today ( I was having a suck *** time by the way) and I kept yelling out over VOIP, "GOD DANGIT! I just got prone spammed / nade spammed AGAIN!" And then he finally started to notice that every time somebody killed him he got killed by a guy who dropped to prone. I think I hook him at the words, "Bullets actually kill people in PR by the way..."

Actually, all I wanted to do was fly a damn lb so I downloaded it back during 2.5 (I think), and the next day, 0.3 came and I was like "WOW"

Well, there still is the odd prone spammer on PR. But I don't think it's as effective as on vBF2.

Haha, I felt so dirty the other day on Qwai River. I bunny hopped! It's not what you think though. I took out three guys near gov't office, but they got me enough times that I got shroomy vision. So then when a fourth guy popped around the corner, I knew I couldn't shoot him. But he was downhill from me and quite close. So I switched to knife, started jumping all over the place, and knifed him before he was able to get me. Hahaha, it was great.

They don't have LBs in vanilla? I forget a lot of the differences. I quit playing it when I started PR this past summer.
