Nearly every time I launch PR the launcher stays at verifying files for 5-10 minutes. I am running as administrator.

I had the same issue. It would take up to 10 minutes to verify files and launch on my 3570K.

Reinstalling PR solved it and is now instantaneous to load

It happens to me sometimes. Surely not all the time, but sometimes.

I get a lot of "corrupted" files, but it works again after I restart my computer.

I had a dying HDD months ago and that was right, but now mine is working fine and sometimes I still get the "corrupted" message.

So when it gets stuck on verifying, just cancel and click to join again, and it should load right in. It does that sometimes.

Yes but no. If I cancel verifying it'll wait for the veryfing ends anyway. So in any case I believe the best thing is just to wait.

Well this happens to me all the time, I just cancel and it stops verifying right away, then i click join again and its fine ... not sure that you have actually tried this, I think you are just dismissing it. Have fun waiting !
