that was the 10th time ive been landed in a squad i didnt make and wasnt able to leave.

even applying for comander role and resigning it didnt work. please fix this because its a real pain and the only way i haev found so far is to completely log out of that caracter and back in

no, it is annoying when it happens repeated times and seeing as voip/squads are fundamental to a good game this can get frustrating.

Looks like a hard thing to fix though. I guess its okay if you get stuck in a decent squad though?

I have noticed it popping up alot more recently. Had to stop playing tonight because of it. Bit of a shitter really.

i have found that taking your time bringing the squad screen up after hitting 'join game' really reduces the squad bug. it's only happened to me once since i started doing this. i just use the squad tab now (instead of caps lock) to get to the squad screen at the beginning of the round.

it seems like i only get the squad bug when i bring up the screens too quickly when the game starts. anyone else experience this?

Yeah I've had it happen too, but what are you gonna do about it. its not a PR thing its a BF2 thing.

Had it several times too...sucks when you want to be in a squad with mates and are stuck in some random...but rejoining the server helps.

the problem is, you are invisible to other players in the squad as a squad member, you cant talk to them or hear them.

yep, BF2CC prob, its a server admin tool. We have no control over it.

You aren't actually in the squad as I'm sure you noticed. It happens in Bf2, PR, BF2142, etc. Nothing the PR devs can do about it.

there is more than one squad bug?

One is not being able to create squads

the second is not being in a squad but not being able to join/create/leave
usualy shows squads with 7+ when that happens

We dont know how that happened but it was showing 8 people on the squad but there were 6 in total, 2 guys couldnt join squads or create squads but they werent on that squad

You can see that the other squad was showing 7 people

Unfortunately at this point you would do well to disconnect and reconnect to the server.

If you do it fast enough (ie. within the same round) you keep your current round score no matter what team you rejoin.

The squad bug also has another problem that I don't think anyones mentioned yet, you cannot spawn on the squadleader. So once you realise you are missing a highly convenient mobile spawn point you should be hitting that Escape key and going for a reconnect to the server

Well I thought I was clever and was going to suggest a work around for the squad bug with only one squad being made. But the abuse potential might be too high. So the idea is to have a special vote that only requires all the members on one team (as you can't tell which team has the bug easily programatically) to vote yes. The result is restarting the server which fixes the bug but is very disruptive. But this is what an admin would have to do anyway to "fix" the problem.

Problem is if a team is losing so bad they decided to restart the server just to be smack tards.
