Tank projectile deviation/miss effect and not doing damage.

first im sorry i could put that on bug report or feedback because i don't know if that is a feature or bug and i could get a video prove of it because my hard drive is full so with the conclusion please some one move to the right place.

so i experienced that for about 2 months but i could prove that, so the tanks main cannon have a deviation if moves? i can put my sights at the target (in slow/brake movements) at close range and i see my projectile goes up so i can lost a tank fire fight because i want to fire first and that's is quite frustrating but i would like to check the real life reference from that.

with that answered some times the tank projectile does no damage some times i experienced that allot and more often on the last mouths.
i will reproduce 3:

1. the helicopter in operation marlin i fiire at the pilot seat(in flight) i see the effect of my projectile hitting but the helicopter it self take no damage and flew away.

2. the T62 in Sebneh get one hit on the side and smoke bad and he turn around get the main road we follow him and find him and i make a shoot in hes back(after mt driver brake and still) and that's was even closer i could hear the sound of my projectile hitting the hull and also see the effect but he take no damage and escape, my driver say i hit the light pole next to him but i have 100% i actually hit him.

3. in Gaza Beach in the Merkava we hold and still in a small hill i see a bomb tuck come toward us i shoot a HE shell in the driver face and same ting, i clearly see the effect(is not the same effect as you hit the ground sure) he still come and blowup us and my driver say is miss

i can remove the lag possibility because in most serves i have 100~140 ping and in the truck and T-62 both goes straight and the T-62 was to close and slow to the lag take effect.

im sorry i could make a video showing this and some case i actuality recorded but i have to delete to get more disc space but maybe soon enough i will bring some.

Can be explained with the Battlefield 2's hitboxes/Lag

The driver always see your shells off target, its an annoying bug, but you as a driver need to have confidence on your gunner, that's why I always like to say "Fire...Hit" or "Fire...Miss", that way my driver knows when I'm firing and hitting/missing.

I've seen Bomb trucks surviving HE shells, although its not realistic I agree with this, it makes a harder task to decide between HE or AP shells in insurgency.

Regarding deviation, I've never seen it on tanks, its rare for me to fire while moving but when I do it the shells goes where intended, just need to counter the horizontal movement.

Turista his 1st point I have experienced however I've seen the round impact on the huey with the cool effects that have been added to 1.0 yet nothing happens with an AP shell sometimes

i discard that in my post, and i experienced that more often than back to the 1.0 release.

i know that and i keep him aware of that bug and i do the same thing as you said.

no, it is actually a bug, i tested now on local server and take one hit instant kill on HE shells

in my case the shell does not hit the tank or pass trough(6:43) slower the video and see here in this videos that case, the chopper in the start seems to happen the same because i see a ap shell vs iron effect and not the apc shell vs ground

In the video the shell missed high 1/2 a meter or so because the Abrams's driver was still driving when the gunner shot.

Also the reason why some vehicles are resistant to damage is because you shoot through them. For example the bomb car and helicopter. The bomb car has essentially nothing to cause a tank round to explode if you manage to shoot through the windows, because there is no collision mesh where the windows are thus the reason why a MG can spray down and kill all the people inside without damaging the car; think of it like the back of a troop transport logi. The same logic applies to helicopters. If you get really unlucky it is possible to shoot in one door and out the other on a Huey.

On Op. Marlin I think the Chinook is the French helo and there might be a bug there or it was friday the 13th and a full moon and you broke a mirror and managed to fire through the windows for where the door guns are mounted.

Also yes i agree 100% on the bug of shooting light vehicles in the body with AP/HE shells. They do survive sometimes and it is really annoying. The best way to stop it in game currently is shoot the main cannon and co-axial at the same time.

thats i need to know if that is actually intentional, because tanks have a FCS so why give that deviation if the FCS cant be implanted? that's could be a awkward work.
