Don't know if anyone feels the same way, but I really miss the mp5. Any chance of it coming back? Why was it taken out?

i dont specificly wan the mp5 but another automatic weapon would be nice. Not only th m4. If I use the m4 it because im really annoyed or going into close combat. We should have the MP5 but only when the damage thing is sorted out.

In Place of the Spec ops, I would like to see a Forgman using a silenced MP5 on levels where you are carrier based. use the skin from the special forces trooper BF2:SF, SAS!
The Froggy ******* could swim faster and longer thant standard troops. Navy Seal Frogman FTW!!!1
MP5 supressed FTW!!!1
Stealth FTW!!!1

Next time don't make your 1s so uniform and we may believe it was an accident.

We could have it in a night map >_< We could also have that suppressed sniper. OMG imagine how stealthy me and Maistros would be

MP5SD3 is a good one. From what I know, the Mp5A2 is used by SWAT teams in US, and the MP5 (in bf2) is meant for people who normally would not be in a combat position, but for self defense usage. (Pilots)

Well... the PR user guide says that the MP5 will be making a come back. In MEC hands.
Including it for the US forces would be unrealistic as they have retired it in favour of the M4.

I love the mp5. It was the basis for my first screenname on OFP, 9mmGSW.
But that was a suppressed version and it was more accurate than the PR version.

I don't get it.... the MEC spec ops *does* have an MP5, don't they?

No, it has a HK53, a 5.56mm "sub-machinegun" version of the HK33.

Ah yes. I just checked the PR guide and read up a bit on the HK53. Apparently a lot of parts are interchangeable with the MP5. And it sure does look like one.

I would like to see the Mp5 as a self defense weapon when there is a pilot/tank driver kit.

Yes mongol, for shame... your 1337 speak is most poorly executed.
Haha, but yes, suppression on night maps is great. I used to love getting the USMC DMR on night maps, and just sneaking around, dropping 20 rounds into an enemy squad at range, and then taking off down a random alley to strike from another angle.

Thats exactly where it will be coming. For the MEC.
Unless of course, the DEVs agreed with my idea to give MEC tankers the P90 instead.

No, it isn't. HK5
4 would have been the model number for the MP5 under HK's old model numbering system (5 for its classification: SMG; and 4 for its caliber: 9mm Luger). This was the designation for the first prototype MP5.
HK53 is a 5.56mm weapon classified by HK as a sub-machinegun, but more fitting with the definition of an assault carbine since it fires an intermediate rifle cartridge (instead of a pistol cartridge, like SMGs) and has a barrel shorter than 16 inches.

Hey

, i dont believe in 1337 speak. In PR, N00BZ dont exist. You can be a N00BZ at an arcade game.
